2 hours ago2 hr We've also left ourselves open to be fleeced by other clubs now because they know we need to replace him.
1 hour ago1 hr Don't think Alonso would be too happy with losing Spain's Euro winning starting LB.If his replacement is another toddler then we'll know that all the talk about the manager having a say in the squad are just BlueCo PR spins.

Think it's a great deal for us.We overpaid when we bought him perhaps. My worry is the loss of an experienced player, will he be replaced by an experienced one? Or maybe we aren't replacing, we do have Hato and Barco who can play RB and no European football. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by bisright1

Immediately happened after positive talks with Alonso (feels like a rug pull) and the fact we will now likely get fleeced unless the alternative is already set to join.
1 hour ago1 hr He has been one of our better players, in a limited team that has been very inconsistent. In the grand timeline of chelsea fc, he will not be missed.

1 hour ago1 hr Anyone celebrating this must have missed the last four years of this clown ownership. They will brief that there is a replacement coming but their isn’t any replacement coming full stop That Argentine kid we sign will be his replacement they just haven’t said it yet.

That's just fluff. I'm fairly sure he was never coming back next season and everyone including Alonso knew that. We got a bigger price than he's arguably worth so he could be sold before the world cup gears up. Id probably argue we shouldn't sign a left back. I don't know why we need an elite player when we have Hato and Barco

1 hour ago1 hr Good riddance, completely gave up on playing football last season to just try and cheat and cry his way through games.A purple patch where the clown built our entire team around using him in attack shouldnt blind people to how sh*te he has been many times.

I don't know why we need an elite player when we have Hato and BarcoCucurella was very open in his feelings towards the club, so I doubt he’s all of a sudden fabricating his interaction with Alonso. Much like last August when I argued with some fans on here why we needed a new CB when Colwill got injured vs relying on Acheampong, it isn’t wise going into a season relying on young, inexperienced footballers to replace their predecessor.

1 hour ago1 hr Are people just ignoring how well Hato did at left back, he was much better than Cucurella and I have no worries if he starts the season there.
1 hour ago1 hr I don't think we can complain about the price given Boehly massively overpaid for him in the first place. Hopefully we go and get Hall back.

But those talks could well have been, look I'm aware you're leaving if the money comes in, but here's the plans if it doesn'tId be asking for another LB if we were in Europe this season. We aren't.
