Why?

Why? It is quite simple.

  • He can control the ball

  • He has vision

  • He can dribble

  • He can pass

He does those 4 things better than Mudryk and Sancho - and better than most others in our team.

Is this satire? No way someone still thinks this in 2025 lol

The irony of who’s posting it.

Irony? Because I think Felix is a better footballer than Jackson? Because I think Felix can control, see a pass and execute the pass better than most in our squad?

My views are hardly like raaaaaiiiiinnn on your wedding day, or a free ride when you have already paid.

If Felix could do any of what you suggested at a consistent level, Atletico, Barca, Chelsea, and now Milan of all clubs wouldn’t be actively trying to get rid of him like he was a squatter.

He scored 17 g + a at Barcelona and they still didn't want to keep him because he is a terrible overall footballer.

Consistency is not something I mentioned. It is also something that none of our other current players have.

So to call out Felix for a lack of consistency is fine - but it needs to be done in the context of our whole squad being inconsistent.

The difference is that Felix can do those things (control the ball, spot a pass and pull it off) - where as some of our others don't have the ability - let alone consistency

No one mentioned Jackson you insecure little creep.

Pretty damning words for a bloke who can control, see and execute a pass better than anyone in our current squad…

Trailing 2-0 at half-time against Napoli on Sunday, Walker was spotted giving the Chelsea flop a dressing down over his unwillingness to pass the ball.

As the Milan players made their way out from the dressing room for the second period, the England international was heard telling Felix: 'Pass the ball, we are not Messi.'

Walker's advice seemingly fell on deaf ears, with Felix hooked off just 10 minutes into the second half as under-pressure manager Sergio Conceicao looked to change things up.

His tactical tweaks failed to turn the tide, with Milan falling to a 2-1 defeat.

I am one who regularly wanted to see Felix get more of a run in the team to properly assess how much he could bring to the team if afforded a proper opportunity to prove himself.

However, a player cannot fail so many times to convince managers to play him regularly (and contrary to what we all think these managers know a bit more about football than any of us do, except maybe @Pauly who had a stellar career managing an U14s side for 12 weeks, they lost 10 games, drew one and the 12th game was suspended as it was the Pope's birthday) without there having to be a degree of realisation that he isn't cut out to be a top quality player.

Yes there is some talent there but he will eventually settle for a mid to lower table team in probably Spain or Italy and will probably still be a squad player rather than guaranteed starter.

He has so much ability. He’s genuinely one of the most talented players in our squad.

But his attitude and self entitlement will mean that he won’t even be 50% of the player he could have been.

Let’s face it, he’s probably 3rd choice at best for a starting spot in the team. Get rid if we can or numerous loans for the duration of his contract.

Felix being this untapped incredible footballer is up there with the 9/11 conspiracies.

That’s not what I’m saying at least.

He’s got the talent to be a top footballer but he never will be because of attitude or a bad work ethic or a refusal to do the defensive work or for being greedy. Or a combination of everything.

Being very talented and being an incredible footballer are worlds apart without working hard or a good attitude. I don’t know what he’s like but too many managers at big clubs have seen his talent but he never gets a managers trust. That screams attitude rather than a lack of ability.

IMO this whole untapped potential thing is just word of mouth. Its been repeated so much since his Benfica days, people believe it to be true. I can't think of a single attribute he has where i think WOW.

Someone like Ravel Morrison and Taarabt were genuine superstars when they wanted to be. I can't think of a single game or attribute Felix possesses that is over and above what most footballers have. He Jesse Lingard with good PR.

FROM DAILY MAIL+ (PAYWALL)

Given the audio is not the greatest, it is tough to say for sure what Kyle Walker was telling Joao Felix as they were leaving the tunnel during AC Milan’s defeat at Napoli on Sunday.

But it certainly sounded like: ‘Joao, just pass the ball, we are not Messi, no one here is Messi, just pass the ball.’

Sources in Italy say Milan will not be purchasing Felix permanently this summer when his loan expires, and Chelsea are aware of those rumours.

However, it is believed confirmation of that decision has not yet been communicated directly to the Premier League club.

Felix’s contract with Milan runs until June 30 but Chelsea inserted a clause which means they could bring him back for the start of this summer’s Club World Cup in the United States. There is no indication yet as to whether that will happen.

The Italian media have certainly not taken to him. This week, Corriere dello Sport have described him as ‘a failure’, La Repubblica as ‘a ghost’ and Eurosport as ‘ignored by team-mates’.

So is the theory that Jackson at centre-forward will suddenly make us a good team.

Some people actually propose that theory as reality.
