He didn't bow down to Jorge Mendes and I assume the board's pressure to play Felix. The thing is, IF the board wanted Enzo to play Felix he would have played Felix. But that is not how football clubs work.

March 4, 20251 yr Another club he's failing at and people STILL think he's good enough to be picking up minutes for a club challenging for top 4 in the hardest league in the world. Zero impressive seasons since he left Benfica six years ago.

Zero impressive seasons since he left Benfica six years ago.Let's be fair now, he also had a good 6 month spell at the start of his time at Atletico Madrid career. Add that to his good 6 months at Benfica that makes one full "season" in 6 years. He has played under good managers both at club and national level, all with different ways on playing the game so you can't even make the argument that the manager's tactics never suited him, and has done next to nothing but of course it's everyone's fault but his. Those managers are all clueless, played him in the wrong positions and couldn't unlock his world class potential. Edited March 4, 20251 yr by Remodez
March 4, 20251 yr He even had a perfect position for him at Atletico, playing second-striker as a replacement for Griezmann. It speaks volumes that a player nearly 10 years older than him plays that role with more purpose and energy,Felix isn't skilful enough that you can make an exception for his weakness. He can't even beat a man and his first touch in space is awful for a supposed technical player. Edited March 4, 20251 yr by SydneyChelsea
March 4, 20251 yr I think he had enough chances to prove that he's NOT a top class player. If his technique were top class, he didn't need that much time to bring the ball under control, and fire a good shot. I mean he played for some pretty good teams and good managers, common denominator seems to be him, all the former employers were better off ( or at least not worse off) after he left

I think you are trolling. It all depends on what you want from a position. Take the 3 you mentioned. If you want someone up top to run the channels (which we do) then you are picking Jackson all day long even though Felix is by far the most talented of the 3.It’s also difficult to judge some of our players because our system is so rigid so players like Nkunku, Felix, Gusto, Carney, Chilwell, Enzo and others often flatter to deceive because they have to play a role that doesn’t suit them or even worse they get no minutes at all.Our wingers don’t have any licence to roam either. We very rarely switch our wingers so if they don’t win their match up our attack evaporates For the formation we play we have too many players in our squad that noticeably don’t fit in to any of the positions. It’s almost as if Stewart and Winstanley have never been in a room with Maresca. If we win their Conference and/or qualify for the Champions League it will be in spite of those 3 not because of them.

March 14, 20251 yr The talent is there and I’ve defended him before but he doesn’t have the determination to make it at a big club. That much is certain now. Needs a club where he starts every week and then we might see something, anything that says different. I hear Strasbourg is a wonderful place for a year.
March 26, 20251 yr Joao Felix's agent Jorge Mendes has told Chelsea management his client Joao Felix wants to join Galatasaray in the summer and wants the clubs to come to an agreement. Can’t see them paying the asking price, it will be another loan deal.

His remaining ffp Value will be 36mill in the summer.I could see us giving them a deal to keep Mendes sweet as he strings them along "looking for" a Portuguese sister club. Maybe 30mill and we take the 6mill hit, cover it with selling Chalobah, Petrovic, Santos and/or various others like Acheampong.Galatasaray Take a 6mill a year FFP hit, we buy the Turkish Omari Kellyman for 15mill, all sorted and Mendes is left very happy.

March 28, 20251 yr No doubting his talent and I’d have him back over a few that are still here.I get the feeling it’s attitude that will mean he never justifies any of his transfer or loan fees. He’s not going to change now so if we get a deal that makes sense then he can GTF.

He hasn’t scored since that debut and AC Milan fans have started to criticise him for his poor performances."
