Clearlake gave Athletico Conor + $$ for Felix. I bet they couldn't believe their luck. All this to balance the books after Clearlake splurged so much wasted money on poor signings. Unless the Saudi's decide to make an offer, I suspect we will be paying another club to give Felix playing time over the next few years.

As frustrating as he is, at least he has the potential to do something spectacular on occasion which brings some sort of excitement, probably because he never actually listened to Maresca

There is no position on the pitch I would want Felix to be contributing to as a squad player. We have more promising players in all the positions he plays, I would rather they get used and potentially turn into great players.

Are we really asking for Felix back? The player that has failed to do anything of relevance in Atletico, Barca, Chelsea (twice), Milan? That's what I call desperation.

And before anyone says that it is because Maresca doesn't use him to his best, no, he's been sh*t under many managers in the UK and the continent.

Maresca (and those who came before him), should perhaps have tried to use him in a way that best utilses him. Ditto with Nkunku, Palmer, James and all our best players....

What about Simeone, Conceição, Xavi, etc? Don't they know how to play him either? It's time to accept that Felix was another of those youngsters with a lot of potential that has just gone bust.

Dont watch any of those games....but his return isnt as bad as some would have us believe....

Barca: 44 games, 10 goals, 6 assists

Benfica: 43 games, 20 goals, 11 assists

Chelsea: 40 games, 11 goals, 2 assists.

Total from this list: 258 games, 112 goal contributions

Assume that looks even better when considering minutes played, and not games (as he didnt start all of them)

Reminder we paid €52m for him last summer. Lost half his value in 1yr. Another good piece of business by BlueCo for this so called opportunity in the market.

Indeed, this idea that Blueco are only interested in making money through transfers is beyond ridiculous. Mudryck, KDH, Felix, etc. We are losing millions and millions on mediocre talents. Mudryck has lost his entire value - 60 million+ and KDH is worth 5 million tops. How much would we get for Omari Kellyman now?

How we ended up buying him and now trying to sell him for less than 50% .. some one needs to get sacked over this deal.

The worst thing about it is that I believe as fans we all take that deal without thinking twice.

Surely Benfica have a few Portuguese teenagers they can chuck in to sweeten a deal for Felix ?

25m + 20m "book value" of make weights and we break even for FFP LOL.

BlueCo can always put out a PR story afterwards that Stewart & Winstanley have been watching them for years 🤠

That’s the only explanation I find to their approach, but they are just sh*t at identifying talent, buying and selling.

I take it they won’t be in the CWC squad and will spend all summer looking for moves?

Apparently set a £21m asking price. That would be a brutal £24m loss in 1 season - I suppose slightly offset by any loan fee from Milan.

I honestly wished I had that kind of job security our SD’s have. £24m loss and no one bats an eye upstairs.
