August 7, 20241 yr @Sconnie Blue can you compare his non penalty xG - xG to Chris Wood, i'm tryna see something. Edited August 7, 20241 yr by Ukraine Bolt
August 7, 20241 yr I just see Poch's system as so reliant on his 9, it was get the ball to Harry Kane, then get the ball to Nico Jackson. Jackson did ok, but he had a total strikers system, and didn't thrive.

Osimhen is the most obvious big money flop i've ever seen. Napoli had the equivalent of our disaster 2015/16 season. If you still think we did far worse then I doubt I can change your mind. Of all the strikers we've been linked with not one didn't carry any risk. Osimhen (although not my first choice) at the very least has a history of proving to be an effective fox the box striker and has overperformed his xG rate season after season. Jackson for me showed enough quality to start the majority of matches and be a versatile attacking player, but he's missed far too many chances and you can't count on him being a clinical player in the biggest moments just yet. Not finishing Top 4 again this season just further damages the club and solely relying on Jackson again just makes achieving that all the more difficult.

Chris Wood v Osimhen comparison based on your metric for last season pls
August 8, 20241 yr The only reason this move hasn’t happened is because Osimhen doesn’t want to be part of a loan deal, & Napoli’s demand of €80m + Lukaku & Casadei. Won’t be surprised if it still happens because our lot can’t help themselves.
August 8, 20241 yr Why don't we just go and buy Toney, PROVEN goalscorer and cheaper, Tottenham are making a move or him

Interesting that Jackson was at last season, to go from such a positive to such a negative is strange. Perhaps last season was just him adapting, 40 goal season soon land.

August 9, 20241 yr You know I think this is a game of chicken between Chelsea, Victor and Napoli. Napoli needs Victor to go, we need Lukaku to go and Victor needs to leave as he is not in conte plans. Can see him taking a deadline loan move here. No obligation to buy, lukaku going there.

August 11, 20241 yr Chelsea changed the conditions of the Samu deal last minute, Samu is described as “devastated”. Chelsea now want Osimhen as main goal. (@marcosbenito9 - broke the story) #CFC
August 11, 20241 yr So first he failed a medical, then we backed out of the deal, now we changed the terms of the deal.
August 12, 20241 yr With Osimhen I feel it will go down to he last day of the transfer market, regardless of the league he is going to join. Whether it is us or any other club, I think Conte will play a big part as he will soon grow frustratred with the situation and we know he is a hot head. He wants Lukaku, but Lukaku can't join because of Osimhen who has asked for a transfer, but already rejected the Saudi offer that Napoli has accepted. Bit of a mess this situation that Napoli have in hands and Conte surely will play a big part in all this in the next weeks and put a lot of pressure on Napoli's owner.
August 12, 20241 yr I just read he handed in an official transfer request. Does that mean the 100mil release clause is no longer valid? I'm not sure why it's a being reported on otherwise. Unless the media is bored again! Fk knows why, give it a few hours and chelsea won't disappoint in that area. Always chaos.
August 12, 20241 yr It’s definitely the calm before the storm… I’m just waiting for an Ornstein dagger.
August 12, 20241 yr The journos report Napoli want Lukaku in this week. I mean there is only a couple of weeks left in the window so naturally they need it done soon. Victor handing in his request is not long after Napoli turned down a 80mill offer from PSG.
