December 5, 20223 yr Some German media sources, such as Sky in Germany, are claiming Dortmund want to sell him in the summer for maximum profit and have allowed him and his dad to talk to various clubs. They have apparently narrowed the list to City, Real and Liverpool. We have apparently been ruled out on Judes side.

It is hard to sell how we are going to use him. It is the same story with Haaland last summer.

One of Dortmunds high ups has talked his continued relationship with Klopp and how Liverpool are his preferred PL club. City and Pool players are working to convince Jude to join their teams while at the WC too

Can’t see Pep being interested in him, he prefers technical & nimble players in the middle of the park. De Bruyne has the licence to make risky passes in the middle of the park; his partner needs to be press resistant and have near 90%+ pass success rate, which Gundogan & Silva offer him. Bellingham at 82% pass success rate is so far off his requirement, and Pep will lose control in the middle of park if he pairs him with De Bruyne.

Bellingham is 19 and at the perfect age to enhance is overall game. He will also likely take over Silva/Gundogan, particularly the latter in which I can see him operating the same way Gundogan did in the 2020/21 season where he was acting as a box to box. Still won the league.

He is more likely to move Foden into the middle of the park to replace Gundogan, & sign Kvaratskhelia as a LW. IMO Bellingham would stick out like a sore thumb in a City which he won’t do.

I agree on Haaland but Bellingham I see fitting in fine.

The fact that we will have problem incorporating Haaland n Jude in this team is crazy but it is the reality

December 7, 20223 yr Author Christian Falk (BILD) reporting Liverpool are in advanced talks and are considered favorites to sign him.
December 7, 20223 yr Until we return to the point where we can attract the best, especially in young talent that can have 10 to 15 years at the very top end, we won't be returning to the elite level. The fact someone with a sensible head on his shoulder like Jude, or someone like Endrick who has his family looking after his best interests not just his wallet getting bigger, and they both ruled us out, speaks volumes. Top many unknowns about this project.

The media is now saying they are looking at Caicedo or Amrabat as alternatives as he will be too expensive
December 7, 20223 yr If his club form continues, pretty sure we'll see one of the largest deals in history completed here (as a total package, talking Haaland, Mbappe, Neymar, Hazard type terms). Few clubs can afford that, and even from those who can, it really comes down to City, PSG and Real (Liverpool potentially based on the Dubai International Capital ownership). Hard pill to swallow, but we aren't in that league at the moment (and hard to see a path back until we get more stability).
