I'm just going to keep telling myself that this is a ploy contived between Alonso and the SDs/agents to drive Fernandez's value up.

The ploy you're describing is way too sophisticated for them!
Monday at 22:391 day Looking forward to Enzo recording himself live singing about the Falkland Islands and then coming back pretending to be sorry like he was when he sang about the French 😐
Monday at 22:411 day Author Going to be in the pivot again with Caicedo at this rate. Pray 4 Caicedo.
Monday at 23:011 day I mean the ball really is in Fernandez' court, all he has to do is work harder and be less sh*t. He is one of the few in the squad whose performances belie his actual talent, his underperformance is entirely of his own making and attitude. If he can adapt himself to a role that actually benefits the team, rather than one that drives his stat sheet, we will be better for it. Either it will work out for the team or he will get his move away and we get a decent fee.

7 hours ago7 hr He doesn’t fit in either system if we’re honest. It’s a real shame RM don’t want him.Could be an headache for the manager next season no matter what he does, shoe horns him in or benches him.

Enzo lives for his stats.
6 hours ago6 hr He's going to force his way out by making some insane comment after the game tonight.

And has a way better workrate as well. A three at the back system would definitely favour him as one of the two in the pivot as he has a lot of players around him and as long as the two in the number 10 role (Palmer and Estevao) put in the requested defensive work. Which I think they will.If this Chelsea resembles that hard working Leverkusen team that Alonso built, I am 100% Fernandez will flourish in the pivot.

Enzo Fernandez is not interested in sitting in a two, he'll be running into the box at any opportunity and leaving Caicedo alone. We've seen this play out for 3 years now.Enzo Fernandez would flourish in Burger King, that is it.
