The guys we are linked with - Enrique (God NO), Nagalsmann (maybe, but risky) and Pochettino (Yes Please) are all out of work and if the club had acted swiftly enough (after the Everton match and in the International break), we could have someone in place now ready for the CL ties with Madrid. Like all CFC supporters, I love Lamps but I'm not at all comfortable with him being given this interim role. He's on a hiding to nothing and it WILL end in tears. The romantics amongst our support are dreaming of him pulling off a miracle and us winning the CL, but that just won't happen with this squad. Really feel sorry for Lamps, seeing him smiling and happy to be back at the club and maybe he feels if he can pull off a miracle, he has a chance of staying on - but it won't happen and I see him being treated like an ex, just being brought back for a gratuitous shag until a better option is found. Hope he can do himself justice and bring a bit of pride back but for me this is just another twist in a very poor and forgettable season. That said - Good Luck SFL. Couldn't have summed up my thoughts any better than this. We had major personalities under Robbie, we just dont have it in this squad. We are 11th in the league and Real Madrid just put 4 past Barca away from home and we struggle to even score a goal. I cant see this other than ending in tears and we say there's no pressure but Frank will take the brunt of this personally. It would not surprise me in the slightest if we ship 3 or 4 on Wednesday. We are after managers that are out of a job. It's not like we have to pay compensation. Edited April 7, 20233 yr by Sheva
April 8, 20233 yr @Modhave we had a "TimesUpLampard" signed up to the forum yet? If not what are you putting your Pulisic money on? someone signing up by that name or @Drogba1making a back or sack poll for Lamps? ;)

April 8, 20233 yr Not Lampard's fault, this is all cause of Potter. When Lampard took over after Sarri we were a decent club and he did fine given the circumstances but now he can't undo what Potter has done.

I’m no Potter fan but what we saw today was significantly worse than what we’ve seen the past few months under Potter. Lampard shouldn’t even be a manager.

It's Boehly's fault for firing Tuchel, appointing an unqualifed manager in Potter and an even more incompetent manager in Lampard

It wasn't, this is still all Potter and your last sentence there shows it since not even a top manager could repair the damage that Potter has done let alone Lampard.
April 8, 20233 yr This is going to be an awful end to the season isn't it, I think we're going to break the 2015/16 record
April 8, 20233 yr Real Madrid Away Brighton Home Real Madrid Home Man United Away Brentford Home Arsenal Away Bournemouth Away Nottingham Forest Home Man City Away Newcastle Home Aside from Forest at home I'm not sure where we're getting a win this season. Honestly think we'll finish on 40-45 points. If it wasn't for the 10 that Tuchel got we could have actually been in danger of relegation. Edited April 8, 20233 yr by Drogba1

Tuchel is 10x the manager Potter and Lampard are combined. That being said, no matter what happens for the rest of the season. Lampard can`t be blamed. He inherited an unfixable mess. We need to completely rework the squad. We have so many players that have no clear position, too many players in general, too many unexperienced players, lack of leadership, lack of good striker, lack of capable goalkeeper, best players injury-prone ... The whole squad is a mess. We have to sell a significant portion of players while finally getting the top-class striker, GK, defensive midfielder we need.
