For the rest of the line up, may as well have a better look at some of Boehly's "potential" signings ... 

Zakaria, as our only natural DM left at the club, should be playing. Don't really understand why he hasn't been used more. His pace, height and positional discipline are three things we are sorely lacking at the moment.

I'd like to see Carney play in one of the AM roles, as I think he has goals in his kit bag. Also Fernandez in a more advanced role.

I mean De Zerbis tactics are nice but Brighton were scoring for fun in the last five-six months with Potter in charge, with a very similar goal average to what they've had with RDZ in charge. So its clearly about more than just the manager(s).

"five-six months" is a bit of a stretch LOL. More like 5 weeks end of last season and 4 weeks beginning of this season, and as you already said that had more to do with finally picking Caicedo then anything else Potter himself did ...

Am going to miss the game as will be at Goodwood watching loads of classic cars and motorbikes racing. Have given my ST to one of my nephews. Will try and listen to the game.

8 games at the end of last season and 6 games this season.

RDZ is also picking Caicedo so the whole "GP's team only scored because of Caicedo" and "RDZ's team only scores because of RDZ" argument is a bit flawed.

Thank you. Am going both days. Have you ever been to it? I've also gone to the Revival many times over the years and will be going over again this year. Have to say that of the two I prefer the Members Meeting as I've recently found the Revival an event where some people go to be seen and have less interest in classic cars. A bit like with some other sporting events. Also with the Members meeting you can get up close to the cars and bikes when they are in the garages. You can do that with some of the vehicles at the Revival but not the same extent as the Members Meeting. I'll take loads of photos. Will post a few on the pictures thread.

The Members Meeting is good as it is much less crowded and more personal than the other motoring events, plus pretty much everyone there is a real enthusiast. I went to #s 77, 78, and 79.  The Revival is probably still the most fun, due to everyone dressing up and getting in the spirit. Done all of those since 2011, and the same for the Festival of Speed. We lived 2 minutes from the motor circuit from 2013 to 2020 so it was all right on our door step.

I'm sure you'll have a great weekend, and I look forward to seeing your pics !

This is earlier in the season when they trounced us under Potter and why we can't afford to make too many experimental changes.  Trossard is now at Arsenal yet they are still several places above us in the league.

Yes, the Revival is good fun and as you say everyone dresses up and gets in the spirit. I first went to the Revival about fifteen years ago and went with one of the women I worked with. We hired an E-Type Jag which cost £600 for four days. First time I'd driven a car with a manual choke and no power steering. Was a challenge. In 2014 the only two airworthy Lancaster bombers in the World flew over the circuit. I remember everyone looking up to watch them. Have never been to the Festival of Speed. Something I keep meaning to go to. A couple of guys I know - they are twins and celebrated their 60th birthdays this year  - are going this year with their wives as a treat. They are both keen car enthusiasts so will have a great time.

I just hope the players that are leaving will soon be phased out. Virtually no need to play them. 

Carney, Mudryk, Madueke, Badiashile, D.Fofana need to be seeing minutes.

I'd like to see these players get some minutes too. If they don't get a chance between now and the end of the season they are almost certainly going out on loan next season.

I think Silva will be rested ahead of Tuesday. I also suspect Felix will start since his loan fee almost seems to mandate it. I doubt Fofana will play as a full back. If Reece doesn't play it might be RLC. Maybe Mendy will get a start? Agreed on some of those changes though.

Were 1000/1 to be relegated strider, but were only 2 goals behind Madrid, so we should rest everyone who's playing next week and try to beat Brighton with a different 11, it's a nothing game.

No matter what happens, this team will not fancy its chances against Real Madrid. After the season you've had, only lobotomy could make the players really believe in turning around a 2-0 deficit against Real Madrid.

I am all for supporting the team and being optimistic but thinking that we will overcome a 0-2 deficit against Real Madrid in this current state of affairs seems just borderline insane. It was 90% clear before the first leg that we didn`t have a chance and then we lost 2-0 while Madrid didn`t even get out of first gear. It`s over in the CL. Reece James should not start games at the moment. Chilwell got a red card. That makes 2 out of our 3 best players not even able to play the second leg anyway.

Now regarding Brighton - this is the first game of what hopefully turns out to be a decent end to this PL season. I don`t care about the CL at this point. I just want us to stop being a laughing stock in the PL. Not finishing in the bottom half of the league is what we should be aiming for. Not winning the CL when we can`t even score a goal.

Either way we are lacking a lot when it comes to structure and buildup, I actually don't believe we will lose against Brighton at home but Don Carlo's team looks just too much experienced and too much prepared so it would be a miracle if we knock them out.
