Poch In or Out? The Mega-thread Merged

Featured Replies

So i voted poch in.  BUT only because
1. there is no decent viable alternatives imho
and
2. we had 4 different managers last year.  Tuchel. Potter. Bruno and Frank. and we need to avoid that chaos.

There are not many available managers at this moment.  A Conte return?  Return of the Jose?

It has been suggested that we bring in Mourinho and we 'thug things out until the end of the season'.  Problem is WE DON'T HAVE MEN - let alone thugs.

You cannot thug it out with the children we currently have in the squad.

We have to look at formations - we have to play not to lose. We have to look at playing with 3 CBs and and 5 at the back. We have to look at playing 4 or 5 in the midfield in a 4-1-4-1.

Catenaccio and a rigid tactical system and just trying to win games 1-0 – we have ZERO creativity in midfield. Our players are not creative enough to make a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 work.  Caicedo and Gallagher have no goals all season. Enzo has 2.  --- so as a 3-man midfield like that aint working.  The end product is not there.

Then in the summer we need a manager who has a plan and the ability to be more creative
or Poch can stay but only if he convince Harry Kane to join Chelsea.

Chosing Jose isn't to thug it out until the end of the season, thats not what Jose does. Chosing Jose is chosing to try and establish an restore any trace of identity is left in our squad, establishing a group of players that are working together as a unit, with an understanding of why they are doing so. Not just to post an instagram apology after each bad result.

I don't think Jose is the answer, he is past his peak competing for top honours in club football. But the reality is that so are we at the moment so we could do a lot worse.

With our FFP issues, i'm kind of at the stage of hoping he gets his fingers caught in the till or shags one of the players wives so has to leave by mutual agreement and minimal payout.

We would probably breach our FFP ceiling with the pay offs for Poch and his staff as well as the new manager’s contract.

Yeah, no manager has a chance with a natural leader in the dressing room. It really is a wonder that we won anything with that pesky John Terry sticking his nose into peoples business for all those years, upsetting the dressing room by setting standards and being a model professional.

Maybe Clearlake are right, lets fill the dressing room with unopinionated 15 year olds that dont care for success as long as they can go and griddy on fortnite at the end of the working day.

Theres no evidence at all of Silva doing anything to undermine any manager since he has been here. Granted, Belle shouldn't be as opinionated in a public forum as she is, but there is nothing to suggest he has encouraged this or is in anyway accepting of it.

Only a numpty like you would compare the likes of JT a natural leader, who joined Chelsea when he was a boy and spent 19 years there, winning five Premier Leagues, five FA Cups and the Champions League with a guy who joined us when he was 36 years old, on a one year loan deal and in the twilight years of his career who appears to want to sabotage "the project" 😁 wetfti

Further, if you'd paid full attention to the games, you'd have seen Silva repeatedly waving his arms around in discontent... about what we don't really know but as I said in another post... if Silva wants to protest about things the time and place to do it, imho, is on the training ground not match day.

Oh sorry, excuse my humpty numptyness, I had assumed that spending your career as captain of Milan, PSG and Brazil might entitle you to be considered a natural born leader, how thoughtless of me.

I guess all it does is make you develop a fetish for ousting managers at a club that took you in and in helped you win the club honour you craved the most. That must explain it, you must be right. I bet him and Belle sit there at nights thinking of ways that can use social media to ruin pochettino and chelsea whilst stroking a cat (no euphemism) and laughing at their tank of sharks with lasers attached to their heads.

I don’t know how I missed the waving arms, they’re a dead giveaway of him trying to undermine the manager and get rid of him. After all, the manager is the only person he could be directing them at, not the 10 other players he’s playing with, or any of the match officials.

I wish our management had a grain of the passion and heart that Thiago and Belle Silva have for our club. I still hold a hope that whoever we get as our next manager finds a place for Silva to form part of the back room coaching staff.

I think 90% of the forum would be gone tomorrow if DKW was in charge!

You think?

Maybe the younger DKW but he has really mellowed these past few years, I think anyway.

Hmm would I be in the 95% or 5%?

It definitely ends has a 5 in it....

After a good kip things always seem better.

Sack or stick with Poch ?

Roman used to spend large on players and sack managers at the drop of a hat or at the moment he though club would drop out of the Top 4, those 2 simple guiding principles saw Chelsea as the most successful English FC from 2003-2022. 18 MAJOR TROPHIES hauled in, a full house at that i.e. all trophies available at club level won except the UEFA Conference which was only going towards the very end of his tenure but you know if he stayed somehow we'd of bagged it.

Clearfake have tried to emulate Roman's two top guiding principles without his results. They have gone even larger on purchasing players and sacked more coaches than Roman did in his first season (Tinkerman got bullet at end of season 1). However unlike Roman they have had no success yet and the only time they were top 4 was when TT was coach, after they sacked him top 4 was soon lost never to return as of yet.

So whilst a run of results that we've just had should be a Sackable Offence for any self respecting CFC Manager, I want him to stay because counter intuitively that appears to be the best course of action currently.

Sorry I forgot, excused... I can tell you're a humble sort of guy.

Interesting to see a massive amount of on the fencers today compared to mostly outs yesterday!

Makes sense right? Anyone who is on the fence is likely to take longer to reach their [non-]decision.
