Not sure what Conte would be like managing kids. Reading those names, i would stick with Poch until the summer at least. After we lose the League cup is when Mauricio will be at his most vulnerable to being sacked. Flick I think looks at Poch trying to rebuild his reputation here, as he is in the same boat, and could well be put off. RDZ I think will be waiting for Pool, City or United. Alonso to Pool or Real next step. Jose would come, don't see the owners wanting him and see things breaking down badly if he came. Amorim most likely imo, from this list.
February 6, 20242 yr Flick worries me. On my fraud watch. RDZ seems like he is content with a club with zero pressure. I question his ambition and his ability to step up. Alonso too early to tell and will likely be at Liverpool or Real. Jose. No thanks. Amorim probably the most likely as Ax has mentioned.

February 7, 20242 yr I think if Pochettino leaves, nothing's going to change significantly. No serious manager would go anywhere near this mess right now. That's why I voted "on the fence" but really I'm completely indifferent at this point. The only thing Boehly and co. need is a "yes man" to keep ruining Chelsea, destroying the identity that was built through decades, sucking the soul out of our club and doing it step by step, in a sadistic way. We can all agree they are doing an outstanding job so far. Where we are on the table is our reality, but it could easily get even worse. With a possible FFP charge in the future, who guarantees we won't be involved in a relegation battle sooner or later? Almost forgot to mention my biggest ick, the word "trust". Every single press conference Pochettino talks about how we should trust in what they're doing. I wonder based on what should we trust them? Is there actually anyone left who does?
February 7, 20242 yr Jose might lost his magic in the games because his tactical vision is known by everyone and it seems like he doesn't change his style or try to stick with the modern football. But there are also positive things that he still has. He gave Roma a real hope of play, the fanbase loved him and actually he gave them an European trophy and next season he got them into the final of Europe League. Discipline, tactical discipline, sacrifice, winning mentality - it's all about him! I'd go for him because maybe we're perfect for each other. We're not playing for trophies now, we're trying to rebuild ourselves and maybe Jose will get the right support and will rise again with us. Could be a great story. There are not many options around, few of them won't come here and it's understandable .. I'd go for Jose.
February 7, 20242 yr Oh jeez... Only manager I would replace poch with is the Luton town guy Rob Edwards who I think is on an upward trajectory or go for Steve Holland after the euros. the rest are simply names trading on previous glory or are no better than what we currently have. Given our struggles, we're only 4 points off our parent club Brighton.

Wish he'd never gone Spurs because his unfinished business in the league should have been with us. Sarri is also rumoured to be available in the summer. There's a variety of coaches with varying levels, I don't care anymore who we get I just want to see a recognised style of play and improvement individually and collectively. One thing I'll say, I've always liked Conte he was passionate, knew how to build a defence and most importantly his teams were devastating on the counter. Edit: If we wanted to win the league when Klopp and Pep are gone, Conte would probably be our best bet unfortunately he is not compatible with our owners and the majority of the current squad (despite the team probably still after 3 years looking like it's built for 3atb). February 7, 20242 yr Guessing the Shed end was "Poch in" at 3-0 But Diaby scored late so everyone's back on the fence.
February 7, 20242 yr Jose doesn't give me much confidence. In short term, he will improve results, but we should look beyond just 9-12 months. Even at Roma he couldn't get through the third season, and that's not a team with huge expectations. Of course one could argue he had some bad lucks and injuries, but a lot of the are down to him, and if he wants a club with a a bunch of fit players, stay away from this Chelsea team😄 I'm not even going to get into the compatibility issues with the current owners.

Beggars belief people want him gone. Did you all watch last night's game? We hit that consistency and intensity most games between now and end of season we'll be pushing top five/ six. We just have to beat the dross around us.

And "if" we hit that consistency and intensity throughout the rest of the season then there would be every reason for him to stay.

The reality I suspect will be something different. But yesterday's performance will buy him credit in the bank with a lot of fans and the owners. It was the first time we saw a great performance under his management, however the last 15 minutes the team did revert to type, lost the clean sheet but only 4 mins of ET severely limited Villa getting anymore. All players showed up and played for the badge again for the first time under MP. Long may it continue !

The only thing that has been consistent with this side is our inconsistency. Also as I said yesterday, as good as that was we were breathing out of our arses for the last 10 minutes and we don't win at the Etihad like that even at 3-0. As you say a massive "if" at the moment and much work to do. What they did do last night was prove that they are capable Edited February 8, 20242 yr by WhiteWall

All players showed up and played for the badge again for the first time under MP. Long may it continue ! I don’t think that it was the first time we performed well under Pochettino. It was on par to Liverpool, Arsenal and City games at the Bridge. There appears to be a pattern, the team only gets motivated against top teams at home, and when they’ve been the target of fans and media hard criticism. It’s on the manager to get them to play in the right position but also to get them motivated against the likes of Wolves or Palace on Monday. Let’s see if they’ve learnt their lesson and pick up from here. I’m still on the fence, mainly because I don’t see any alternative available that I think will be better until the end of the season but, as I said before, I don’t think that Pochettino has improved any player so far or has any charisma to lead this team. I hope he proves me wrong to the end of the season.
February 8, 20242 yr I'm buzzing with how we played last night but I can't let Poch off the hook based off one game. We've had a few "this could kick off our season" moments and it's gone nowhere so I'm gonna reserve judgement but it's a good way to start his redemption tour if this is what it is.
February 9, 20242 yr Forgive my eternal optimistic street. The biggest difference was the players showing up and giving a crap. Perhaps about their reputations, perhaps playing for moves away, who knows, but the intensity was spot on and the players need to keep it up. The onus is on the players to keep giving all and playing for each other. let's see if it continues this weekend.
