Yeah, unfortunately none of them are chelsea fans or write neutrally about Chels though, but he is one of the better ones.

Definitely sold on this lad. He's superb. Certainly on tonight's showing so far. Break the bank Chelsea,  whatever it takes but please get this guy in for us.

I think he played well in the final but I’m not overly impressed with him.  Not worth the premium in my opinion.  The young lad on the other side though he’s going to be a superstar.

He doesn’t score? He’s got 12 goals for Athletic this season, and that finish today was good. I know that Jackson or Mudryck would have missed it. He’d be better than the options we’ve got on the left wing, but who knows whether he’d adapt to the PL.

Genuinely give up with you lot if you've watched this tournament and haven't come to the conclusion that he's absolute class.

Sorry, he’s got 5 goals (11 assists) for Athletic Bilbao this season, looked at the wrong stats.

Great player and he wants to play for Barcelona.  Barcelona can sell a little bit of their future and add a new playlist [on spotify] and they will be able to pay for him.

Probably a weird take but today's game is where I really bought into the hype with Nico Williams. I thought he was just a good winger but today he really showed the breadth of his game. His interplay with Olmo right in the heart of midfield, deep defending to double-team Saka and even acting as a centre-forward to hold up the play and play wall passes helped Spain press their ascendancy in the second half. 

He would be a great signing but for those wages. He'd have to be a surefire bet to replicate Cole Palmer numbers to justify it and raise the wage floor.

That CB partnering Laporte was very good.

Yeah he's great, but looks nailed-on to go to Atletico if he leaves Sociedad. He is late to the international scene because he was only granted Spanish citizenship in mid-2023 and didn't have much hope of cracking the French team playing at Sociedad.

He was an easy choice for de la Fuentes as he, Zubizmendi and Merino's defensive ability has been a big part of their consistency over the last few years and is definitely the best Spanish CB in La Liga.

 

Really talented player but for one we won't pay his current wages nevermind give him an increase. For two we have more pressing needs, especially with Willian, Angelo and Paez to come.

He is superb every time I watch him. One of the few wide players around that genuinely get you on the edge of your seat.

None of those are left wingers and it is being reported from almost every outlet that the club are particularly targeting a right footed left winger.

If you could ship out Sterling permanently to Saudi, and Mudryk on loan somewhere with the recipient club covering his wages, then Williams makes sense, both as a player who would improve our starting XI and also financially.

Yep but none of those will happen. Sterling will not move to Saudi. Williams is not coming to England. He is a nice country with good weather, earning £200k p/w. He isn't going to give up that lifestyle when he can go Barcelona which is also a nice city with good weather.
