Nico Williams - £43m Release Clause for Young Winger

Yep but none of those will happen. Sterling will not move to Saudi. Williams is not coming to England. He is a nice country with good weather, earning £200k p/w. He isn't going to give up that lifestyle when he can go Barcelona which is also a nice city with good weather.

Isn't it bad enough with us being in the Primark of European competitions this coming season without climate shaming us as well.

Being followed by Arsenal and possibly have been talks between Nico and their SD. Everyone looking to strengthen and we keep buying “potential” in Poundland.

Let's face it, if we signed him the owners would get slagged off for it because he doesn't score enough goals. You can say what you want but I'm never going to be envious of Arsenal's transfer policy in comparison to ours.

Never going to happen. His wages are crazy given the tax breaks that they have. Looking at something like 300k per week. The release clause is low but no club will match his wages.

Suspect Arsenal will add Williams along with sesko and Rodrygo

When you think of the quality Liverpool and City are bringing in and even Utd potentially getting cunha, mbeumo and gykores - feels like we’re getting left behind.

Everyone of those players above falls outside our ‘wage’ structure. Meaning we basically get project players only.

I had hoped champs league might shift the approach slightly

I feel like our transfer window is going pretty well so far tbh.

Delap is a bargain for 30m, Gittens abit of a risk but he’ll probably give us as much as Sancho did for next season, we’re being linked with Hato, who would be a smart signing knowing he can play centre back or left back.

And there’s the Maignan links, who is a huge upgrade over Sanchez. He won’t cost any more than 15m max.

Nico Williams looked amazing in Euros but he’s beginning to feel like one of them players. Like James Rodriguez in that World Cup.

Arsenal defo won't get both Rodrygo and Williams. If they are to get one of them, it will be only one, I would guess Rodrygo would be more likely. But for the fee and wages, combined, they defo would not pursue both for sure. If they were to get both, how would you fit both in the team considering Saka is a definite starter. So yeah, it defo would only be one, not two of them.

Rafael Leao looks miles better than this guy.

Yeah Leao is hot and cold, but I'd take him over Williams. Williams is just a pace merchant with very little in end product, hyped up by a Euros performance where Spains dominance versus mostly weak opposition made him look decent. While Leao frustrates at times and has poor ball retention he can also make magic happen. If we can get a fired up hungry Leao I think he would be our best option in the current market.

If Gittens is only a matter of time and Estevao is staying with the first team does signing another winger mean Noni is off? Can't see use going into next season with 5 wingers ⁽ ᴾˡᵘˢ ᴹᵘᵈʳʸᵏ ⁾.

On one showing, last night.

Personally I don't think either are worth the money being mentioned. They are better than what we have but no way are they worth this dough especially as they are both still fairly unproven.
