Ownership & the Directors would be deliberately sabotaging any progression. I agree that he does need to have an immediate impact. I just believe that it is impossible for him to do so, regardless of whether he's good or not. Board is being very naive with this appointment in my opinion, to say the least.
May 27, 20242 yr Author Some clarity on his alleged fued in wanting more control. So basically no involvement. Like Tuchel. Which they sacked for?

You have much better players than us so he may be successful with the system at Chelsea . As the season progressed quite a few Championship managers just sat back and let Leicester tap the ball around in mid field and we struggled to find a plan B. He is very slow with his substitutions but again that may be due to a lack of quality on the bench. Personally I don't think he is ready for a top job like Chelsea but I hope I'm wrong. May 27, 20242 yr f**k me, here we go then. Once it’s confirmed, I’ll give myself 24 hours to get my moaning out of my system and then do some sort of spiritual cleanse to try and be positive going into the season.

This is only the beginning gurru. When we have your manager, next we will be throwing £175 million at you for two players. If you have a rubbish left back, we will happily give you £60 million for him.

May 27, 20242 yr Didn't realise Willy Caballero was his #2 last season ... is he coming as well as part of the package ?

He picks his favorites even if they are sh*t. (Welcome back Raheem). 3. He makes Rafa look like a reactive manager with us use, or lack there of, of subs. 4. Leicester fans are giddy to get the 8mill plus for him as his football is like watching paint dry. 5. F*ck Sarri ball will return from the stands with Sarri replaced by Enzo.

May 27, 20242 yr We have a bunch of jokers running our club. We're never getting rid of snooze ball. I hate the way we play now and this is just going to get worse under Maresca. Pass, pass, pass, pass, oh are we going to shoot?.....no. Pass, pass, pass, back to the keeper and start all over again 😴 I really don't see what people find so good about this type of football. I remember watching Argentina score one of the best goals in world cup history in 2006 with tiki taka football, but they had so much more flair and risk, Guardiola's style of tiki taka that managers want to copy lacks all of that. It's basically just the perfected form of pass and move. Edited May 27, 20242 yr by Scott Harris

May 27, 20242 yr Bit underwhelmed, was hoping for De Zerbi but given the names that were put about I prefer Maresca over McKenna and Frank. I think his style does suit the players we have which is a bonus.
May 27, 20242 yr Is he a reincarnation of Sarri then? Bald, Italian and is into possession style football. I don't know if I can survive another season of neverending sideways passing patterns. Edited May 27, 20242 yr by abramovich
May 27, 20242 yr Author No one should be lowering their expectations next season. Ownership/the Directors need to be held accountable.

May 27, 20242 yr So weve hired a manager with 1 and a half years experience. He was sacked by Parma because he was so bad, he won promotion with Leicester which was expected, half the Leicester fans booed him and wanted him out because of his boring football. What could possibly go wrong? Well at least the owners are consistent in their shockingly bad decision making.
