VAR was never the problem and will never be a problem. It's actually one of the better things that has happened to this sport lately. The problem are the biased refs.

Why am I not calling them stupid or incompetent, but biased? Because one of my friends is a ref himself in the Romanian league. There is an unwritten rule in the world of refs since VAR came in (and I mean all the leagues in the world of football) that they (refs) should help each other and should not "snitch" during live matches and make themselves look bad, thus get lower league matches later.

What do I mean by that? The VAR refs must intervene and tell the main official he is wrong only if there is a major decision to be taken, some blatant stuff going on, otherwise they must protect him at all costs and never disagree with his decisions on the pitch, not to make him look bad. And then the roles change next matches, too, when the VAR guys will be on the pitch officiating matches and the other ones will take their place in the VAR booth.

VAR is a perfectly working system ruined by corrupt refs.

I've always said VAR is actually a sound idea.

When semi-automated FINALLY gets introduced in England it will be even better (especially to the people who currently hate it).

The problem is how it is run in this country.

We have the worst set of refs I can ever remember.

Think of International matches or European competitions like the Champions League etc.. and then compare it to EPL matches and you'll find where the problem lies.

Interesting to see where Liverpool might be if they have two or three injuries to their key players.

Bottom of the Championship by the look of it LOL

Don’t worry stick with the yes man and we could be down there the way its going

So much for the media’s champions winning the quadruple

Well, that was certainly the case. Hopefully not now. f**king hell this game is NEVER going to end until Liverpool win

Just about sums the BBC up - biggest upset in the FA Cup for a long time!

Maybe we should try and sign that boy Plymouth have got in goal he made a couple of cracking saves at the end 😁

That's almost a shame. In the sense that our owners will probably now chalk up our defeat at Brighton as "one of those things that happens in the FA Cup ... look at Liverpool!"

Yep, perfect result for the Chelsea Distraction team. Happy Monday, they haven't got to magic up another unknown Brazilian 16 year old to "link" us to.
