Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2024/25

Could be as low as 65 points to get 4th this season (the extrapolation of team currently in 4th to 38 games at their current points per game (41 from 24 = 65 from 38) )

8 wins in our last 15 games and we should be in the frame. Question is, can we even do that ?

Top 5 (almost guaranteed )gets in CL

I saw the highlights of Arsenal catch City playing out from keeper and the second is a defection made me think of what Maresca had said in the post match versus City, if we take our first two chance we probalby win.

Credit to Arsenal they took their chances, even Kai too after his earlier horror miss.

Amorim tenure will be a case study for SD in the future. If they are successful, I can see top team doing something similar in the future

No midtable team will do what united is doing of course, you will 100% get relegated.

What exactly are they doing?

I love how City just casually spent €212m this window alone and no one bats an eye because they aren't Chelsea.

They did spend next to nothing in the Summer with about 140M in sales tbf.

Why would other top teams copy that?

Because if united approach turn out to be a success in the long run, it means sticking with manager philosophy even when your current player doesn't suit the system can be a successful approach.

I don't understand what you are saying. Isn't this what Arsenal did with Arteta? What City did with Pep? What Liverpool did with Klopp?

Its very rare a manager is hired with a squad that suits their style.

Nope, this is very different. Usually. manager will bring their philosophy  but adjust it to the quality of their squad.

Amorim basically try to copy his portoball to united.

He's been there like 2 months.

Pep did not adjust to the strengths of his squad, that's why their first season was so up and down. He bought players to fit his style.

Maresca hasn't adapted. that's why we saw Gusto at 10 so often, and him being unable to fit in Nkunku.

This isn't something new. Utd will just buy who Amorim wants in summer.

How can you be so wrong so often, it's an incredible talent.

If you want to see how we look if Maresca just copy what Leicester was doing, just rewatch our pre season.

Maresca want to play highline man to man.Maresca want to play more control football. Instead we are not really a press team and the moment we break the line we just go.

Gusto play as 10 because our midfield and 10 can't defend.

Workhorse striker, touchline wingers, high line.

We're a rich version of his Leicester team.
