Gary Neville was right last weekend.

He said so many times why have we stop pressing them they have errors in them, why have we dropped backed.

Arsenal pressed them and forced the errors, what do we do bent over and grease up.

We are just not that good.

From top down, where the attitude is clear, wage structure, don't sign experienced top players, money before on pitch success.

That has now affect Maresca and the players. Large group, various unhappy with their roles wanting out.

We are not the Chelsea we were. We want us to be, we can hold the team to that standard. However with this ownership, these directors and how we recruit, it is setting ourselves up for disappointment.

Wish we saw more intensity at Chelsea - from players and stands. Every premier league ground seems to be bouncing these days - new club songs, and a relationship between dans and players. Chelsea is misfiring on a few too many fronts.

I tend to agree. It's as though the club isn't wholly focused on winning trophies - which you'd imagine is the purpose of a football club - we seem to be focused on being sufficiently good that we can drive a large worldwide fan base and scoop up revenues from that.

Yup, farming young players is just one way to look to maximize revenue.

Lower wages, higher ticket prices sold on basically tout sites. I don't think they even will need money from CL. PL and their model will be enough to make money.

Then they can sell and make a bunch more if they wish, or just keep going, depends if the Clearlake investors are happy with the returns or want one big lump fee.

When you see how easily Arsenal battered City, it really questions how we manged to let them beat us so convincingly. We had extra rest than them too as they had a game in midweek, so we were more fresh. Spurs battered them even at City's own ground. Anyway, we have got a big opportunity tomorrow and we better not blow it. Got to give it to Arsenal though. Lewis-Skelly looks a ready made LB for years. Brilliant prospect. Honestly if they get Watkins, they are complete. They just need another CF with pace and who scores and they are complete. Watkins is a boyhood Arsenal fan too. I wonder if he puts in transfer request. He may not get this chance again.

If their goal is to make money in football you must be winning and be the team that sponsors want to work with. There is a disconnect if they think they can you can coast your way to top 4 ever season and be profitable.

I think they thought their ideas of building a young team would enable use to be a winning team in a few years from the moment they took over but they have had so many resets that it’s set the project back years.

i expect another reset when Maresca gets sacked too.

We will find out. If they carry on with this model, and we keep going without CL football, and nothing changes, then they must be making enough money out of it, because they did not change, or sell the club, no?

I mean they won't carry on like this if they are losing money, right?

So either they make enough being a slightly better Brighton, or they don't and have to chnage how we recruit and treat our players.
