Thanks for your opinion.

We all deal with grief differently - some people cry. Some people go silent. So people get angry and lash out at the person who has passed. There is no right or wrong - despite what you would like us to believe.

What is "decent and appropriate" for you, may be different for others.... but hey, keep having fun up on your soapbox. We should all follow YOUR idea of mourning.

I'm not dealing with grief. It was just a response to the incident.

You didn't include your way of dealing with it in your list of options... Thanks for your imagined image of me as "having fun up on my soapbox"

Very creative. .

I'll second this. Some of the comments he has made on the Jackson thread are a disgrace. One of them had something about shooting him in it. And now this complete lack of empathy to a poor young man that has just lost his life and left behind a young family.

Yes, he was unable to keep his criticism of Jackson to football matters , but made it poisonous and nasty to include inappropriate personal stuff about his looks, family etc etc. .

There's always a self righteous justification in reply to any criticism.

It turns out the unnamed London footballer in his thirties was Thomas Partey all along!

He's finally been charged with rape... Just after Arsenal released him. I know they're between a rock and a hard place with allegations but these always seemed credible enough for at least to be suspended with pay pending a "no further action". It was only a some lucky timing on his behalf that stopped him being affected by a law which would have seen him charged a year+ ago.

And Arteta wanted him to sign a new contract only a week or so ago, I`m sure Sky and the rest will now be condemning Arsenal and Arteta..

Disgusting from Arsenal. They knew, we all knew, they decided to ignore it and pretend like nothing happened. Every fan, player, coaching staff that ignored it and cheered every goal are a disgrace. Arteta especially, he's done nothing but protect the guy and stick up for him.

Now they let him go, quietly want to sweep this under the rug like nothing happened. They shouldn't be allowed to forget it and Arteta should be put under pressure by the media.

Ive had it happen to me twice, once while driving and once a passenger. Like you I managed to get to the hard shoulder without an accident, but only because it was early morning with next to no other cars on the road, was just complete luck really, and I was doing around 75mph as I always do on the motorway.

2nd time was a passenger in a mates car on an A road and we ended up in a field after going through a fence, car was a write off and as it went into a ditch and caved the front end in. That hurt.

Just remembered was also in a car when the bonnet latch gave up and it flipped up to the window so we could see f**k all, that was fun.

Some scary moments there. Another incident that I was in happened when I was driving across the Queen Elizabeth Bridge into Kent. The road conditions were bad and a lot of black ice on the road. I decided to drive no more than 30mph. A case of getting home late rather than not at all. I hit a bit of black ice and ended up skidding and the car turned a circle and half and I ended up facing Essex remembering not try and steer against the skid. I could feel my heart pounding. Shows that even driving slowly and carefully can lead to skids, etc.

Agree. Yes, innocent until proved guilty but in most businesses someone who had allegations like that hanging over them would be suspended - with or without pay - and depending on the job may not allowed be associate with colleagues.

Arsenal couldn't do anything.

A high court ruling in 2022 had ruled that in these cases there is a right to privacy until a charge is brought. .

Although everyone had heard rumours , the media and Arsenal's hands were tied despite both knowing he was under investigation. Arsenal couldn't suspend him without revealing the reason , which no one was allowed to do.. until he was charged today. .

My issue with them is more to do with their outpouring of support, especially from Arteta. They made him out to be a victim.

imagine the magnitude of masacre the press would implement on us if he was our player

but Chelsea FC would not tolerate that kind of sh*t so irrelevant

Who knew that the RAPIST THOMAS PARTEY was a rapist? Nobody could have guessed that THOMAS PARTEY IS A RAPIST.

It's a f**king disgrace that he wasn't beheaded before now. I wonder whether we have any disgusting misogynist governments who might be funding anything we're hoping to profit from who WOULDN'T GIVE A SINGLE sh*t ABOUT RAPE? Saudi Arabia perhaps? Or maybe Qatar? Or perhaps the United Arab Emirates?

They are not civilisation. Anybody who profits from those sick societies should perhaps take a look in the mirror. They also murder homosexuals. Scum. That is what they are.

I know a lot of you are incredibly dense, in which case I must be emphatic: INDIVIDUALS WHO COMMIT RAPE SHOULD BE KILLED.

It would be an act of societal self-defence. Put yourself in the headspace of a human being, supposedly part of the social compact, who chooses to exert power in this way.

He made the decision to use his power to violate somebody else sexually. Would you do that? Please wonder what mental process would lead somebody to do that.

Rapists should f**king die. Brutally. And as soon as f**king possible.

The media will go soft on Arsenal like they always do.

They are the media’s favourite London club.

We’ll probably get more stick for the Mydruk situation than they’ll get for Thomas Partey.

Every player and staff member at Arsenal Football Club that has stood by Partey is equally as guilty IMO. They've kept this covered up for nearly 3 years, and now want to disassociate because his contract expired 3 days ago. Vile vile institution.

Don't disagree on the rape bit - but the bit about the Middle east is not right in my opinion. Sexual violence here s punished, and comes with the death penalty. Yes there are social issues here (meaning crimes like this are sometimes unreported) - but its wrong to say they dont give a damn.

Having lived and worked in both the UK and the UAE, I’ve seen first-hand the stark difference in public safety, social order, and crime levels between the two countries. While the UAE is not perfect, it IS one of the safest countries in the world - including for women. Violent crime is extremely rare. You can walk around cities like Abu Dhabi or Dubai at 2am without feeling the slightest threat. In contrast, street violence, knife crime, and anti-social behaviour are much more common in many UK towns and cities. Petty crime is not tolerated, and more serious offences - like drug trafficking or assault - carry heavy penalties - unlike the UK, where criminals often reoffend due to a lack of meaningful repercussions.

Alcohol-fuelled disorder, aggressive youth gangs, and drug-related crime are sadly too common in parts of the UK. These issues are largely absent in the UAE. The result? Cleaner streets, safer neighbourhoods, and a greater sense of calm.

So yeah - not perfect - but safer than the UK and much of europe.

Yeah -skids can and do happen at any speed....particularly in icy weather. Less so during July in the med. Of course - significantly less chance of flipping over and impacting a barrier with such force that the car bursts into flames at 30km....icy or not.

Not just rape.... also murder, and those who beg tarts for titty pics.

Was chatting with a couple of mates who support arsenal - both were so blasé about it, and basically just said "yeah, it was the worst kept secret - we all knew, but he was in good form..."

Shows the levels we are dealing with. Scum.

Didn't want to touch this issue until I've fully read what's available on the matter but Partey is scum and Arteta and Arse from top to bottom who knew and hid it are scum as well.

When crime was alleged, almost every football club sidelined their players, Siggurdson, Greenwood even that cretin spinning top Antony was benched until the police dropped it and he was loaned immediately.

The scumbags played him until his contract was up and suddenly everything's ready for a charge? He was accused since 2021/22.

Yep. I'm very much an innocent before proven guilty guy (for the most part) but this has been going on for so long. They didn't have to sack him, loan him out or anything like that. But when this investigation has been going on so long, the players, the staff, the fans, the entire club, they can't go on like normal and pretend nothing has happened and that he is for sure a victim. Maybe he is completely innocent, maybe he is a victim, but you have to treat these situations with respect and I don't think they have done that.
