In fairness with a decent striker were 2 or 3 up at half time in that game, and without the f**king ridiculous penalty.

Still blows my mind that went to VAR and was still given.

Then in the Forest game yesterday they have the ref going over to the screen to review offsides?? It gets mentioned every week but the standard of officiating in this country is on the floor.

Amorim played smart, it's only a couple of months in and he said what many would have said but haven't. There's no way he's getting the sack after barely a couple of months in, now the pressure is on the owner and board to provide him cash injection, Of course, it could all back fire in 6 months time, but that's just another United manger.

It is a bit strange that they have beaten Arsenal away in the Cup and drawn with Liverpool suggesting they are far from the worst team yet are a team possibly that are only motivated for the big matches.

The other big thing is he said he is not changing not sure what he meant by that is he talking about pressing or a 4-3-3 vs a 3-4-3?

Have to admit enjoy seeing Ahmed Diallo scoring as he seems a clever forward when he gets a chance.

Replace that with Fulham, Ipswich and crystal Palace no difference

But they are supposed to beat those teams. They are, after all, the greatest team this country has ever seen, with the greatest coach of all time (despite having to spend unnecessarily  during a small blip) with the greatest striker etc, etc.

This just smacks of the arrogance and or delusion among some of our support. At least City have won those expected wins. Have you seen our last five results/performances against teams that many expected us to win? It’s like no matter how bad our results and performances are, we’re actually better then everyone else and some far fetched excuse can be made for it.

But we aren't title challengers. City are! They are the most successful English side in the last 5 seasons. We have been a mess trying to recover from a change in ownership.

Lets not forget, a few matches ago Newcastle beat them 4-0 at Ipswich, then Newcastle get pumped by 4 goals at home to Bournemouth. These freak results happen. But again, City are supposed to be challenging this season, so they are beating the teams they are meant to beat. Arsenal could only beat Ipswich 1-0 at home, and they are supposed title challengers.

Careful you might upset that other team that play in Red from ......... Merseyside ah yes Liverpoool.

Liverpool are just relent aren't they. At one point I thought I was watching the old 2-3-5 formation as they poured forward with 5 forwards across the pitch leading the attack.

Even after the late goal they still took a risk and attacked and got the second.

Another weekend of teams giving away goals by farting around at the back., the most ludicrous tactic since playing the sweeper system with players who were not called Baresi and were basically useless.

😂

we were in the title race until the coach drummed it into the players heads that we weren't good enough, and they took him at his word and eased off

Or....

1 of the 2 players we rely heavily on in goals is in a very bad rut that he can't seem to get out of, hence our conversion rate sky diving at a rapid pace. You then add in the poor game management from our manager to find alternative solutions to score & see games out.

Ridiculous in an 11 v 11 game to pin it all on Jackson.

Maybe Maresca should have challenged our under-performing wingers to score more goals some time in the middle of October rather than the last couple of days ? Or tweak his tactics/selection so that players who can actually shoot are on the pitch and joining attacks rather than having Gusto and Cucurella pop up at #10 ?

Our scoring rate from corners has apparently halved vs last season, despite hiring the Brentford specialist guy.

Improve the defence so we can actually win a game 1-0 occasionally

etc etc

Who is pinning it all on Jackson?

You realize your whole post is part of the bold?

You haven't mentioned anyone else from the playing squad - just Jackson.

I think you posted that we had only converted 4 out of 85 chances, and 3 of those goals were Palmer. Well Jacko was only 16 out of those 85 ...

So where is the lie?

Our next highest scorer after Jackson/Palmer is Madueke with 5 goals and he scored 3 in one game against Wolves. It was clear as day that our system wasn't sustainable given the moment Jackson or Palmer stopped scoring we'd be in a rut.

And per the statement I made that you just essentially echoed, it is Maresca's responsibility to find alternative solutions to find goals elsewhere and see games out.

OK fair enough

Now that's how you play an offside trap Atlético.

Leverkusen are fun though, all over them at their own stadium. Xhaka under little pressure pinging the ball around happily, Frimpong has the right flank all to himself.

Can't imagine Atlético have lost many Champions' League games at the Wanda Metropolitano mind; anyone know who was the first team to beat them there?

New addition to the despicable c**t club that i pray i never see in a Chelsea shirt. Simeone Jr. What a cheating w*nker. Why can't fckers like him, Pepe, Di Maria etc be blighted with injuries throughout their poisonous careers and let real players like Lavia stay injury free.

Can someone  explain what happens in the next round in the CL, i know 1-8 are seeded, but how do they determine who they play in the next round?

lets say Villa and Man City win their knockout match, can they be drawn  against Arsenal or Liverpool?
