Based on what Maresca said in his presser, I'd say we can expect to line up like this  :

Sanchez ; James, Chalobah or Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella ; Fernandez , Caicedo ; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho ; Jackson

He clearly doesn’t realise different levels of mistakes! The importance of Caicedo missing a pass or Noni missing a cross is very different from Jacko missing a clear chance, and even more, Sanchez making terrible errors!

It’s like dropping a beaker of water to dropping a nuclear warhead!

Ahh, same mistakes!

We really need a good performance from our wingers.

Doue and Dembele destroyed City.

Won't make the slightest difference if they do, UNLESS Mar'yes'ca tells the players to move the ball quicker, no pissing around with it at the back, Sanchez lump it up the pitch now and again and press their defenders

With you on those observations Mod.

Personally, I would go with Jorgensen in goal, swap Cucurella for Colwill at left back, play both Trev and Tosin at CB, KDH for Enzo in midfield, and up front I'd just play the 4 players that are most likely to provide goals, which for me is Palmer, Nkunku, Jackson and Felix. Palmer on RW. Don't think any of our wingers provide enough output to justify selection ahead of those 4. Colwill at LB and KDH as the midfield energy provides some balance for that quartet in defence vs what Cucu/Enzo would be doing.

surely he must change the keeper?

I don't see how he can change the keeper after what he said about Sanchez ...

And we could easily say the same about Jackson, which I doubt will happen either.

From what a lot of pundits are saying about city their biggest problems are:

1. They cannot defend for toffee.

2. Their midfield parts like the red sea.

With that in mind what is the best way we can set up to overcome their Rodriless midfield and get at their defence, likely on counters?

I reckon Caicedo will be key for us, and I think we need to free him from the shackles of being the 6. I can only see 1 way to do that and I doubt any will like the idea, but we could go with:

Sanchez

James

Tosin

Colwill

Cucurella

Chaobah

Caicedo

KDH

Madueke

Palmer

Neto

Basically I would be asking KDH to be the more advanced midfielder, linking up yo Palmer and pressing Cities deepest midfielder.

Palmer being asked to play a Firmino role, false 9 to drop deep and link with the midfield, using his passing range where, instead of crossing, I am looking for Neto and Madueke to use their pace and one on one ability to get past Cities back line and be out main focus for goals.

Could also use Jackson wide left instead of Neto.

If there was ever a time to go up there and give them a hiding, it is now.

Of course, we won’t. Maresca will play some defensive /risk free/tepid football and we’ll lose easily.

To be fair I think our players are spineless in these big games. @Scott Harris points it out every time.

We need to get this monkey off our shoulders. Last season’s win against United doesn’t count.

Like I I after Wolves I am not interested in a draw here, and it will not be a good result in my book.

We need to beat them, and we should beat them. They are a mess, and we need to take advantage of that and put ourselves back on track.

I think we can do it, 1-2.

Everton were a mess and we didn't do it, Ipswich a mess and we didn't do it...what makes you think we can beat City?

We need to consider changing our home music from Liquidator to Max Romeo's - 'One Step Forward 2 steps back'  lol!

Unless we're ditching the back 3 in possesion Colwill and Tosin shouldn't play together.
