This may come as a surprise to you, but J.Pedro can't prevent us from conceding or make our midfielders be creative. He's there to score goals and link up play, which he's doing better than anyone we've had since Costa.I recommend watching the games instead of just reading the stats. Perhaps visit the bridge one day?Again, if you cant see the points in what Ive said, Ive produced stats for you... perhaps you should go to school and learn how to understand written English, I guess they dont teach it tup north and it clearly escapes your tiny mind... Ive also done my own eye test but theyre obviously inconvenient and get in the way of you odd anger issues. Gave up my ticket for forrest as I didnt want to spend 200 quid on a miserable day out to the bridge. Fantastic decision on my part. If Pedro is so good at linking up play, why are all the metrics - the stuff you use in your arguments - for our midfielders and wingers down. Is it perhaps because Pedro doesnt take up areas where others are brought into play? what is noticable, is that without the runs of Jackson, others dont do so well, which in football palance is called creating space. Pedro isnt going to stretch a line as he isnt a pacy striker or play off the shoulder. he doesnt put others into positions to score and this suggests his link up play isnt as good. Basically, weve got two strikers who are not great at anything and his goals have literally only replaced Jackson's. Our team has gone down because Palmer has had a season to forget despite being our second top scorer. Edited May 7May 7 by bluelightening
May 7May 7 Keep going on about Pedro when he's the very least of our issues in a really sh*t season, is just making you look foolish fella.Pedro might not be Drogba or Costa or whoever, but he has done more than okay, when the rest of the entire squad have been, on the whole, dog-sh*t.Reminds me, I need to visit the Gusto thread and vent my frustration again. Now he DOES deserve criticism................................. Edited May 7May 7 by Nibs

Who's Forrest? Do you mean Forest? The players metrics are down because our managers have had us playing some of the slowest most boring football the club has ever seen. Same reason our metrics under AVB were worse than under Ancelotti. Per 90 stats for you. Even with the wingers all getting injured or being generally sh*t, he's better at everything. I can only imagine how many goals J.Pedro would have scored if he was playing with a non-injured Palmer all season like Jackson did.

Hes done more than ok... No he's been as sh*t as the rest of the squad.

I am shooketh.
May 7May 7 Author I don't understand how a striker who's scored 20 goals so far this season, with 30 goal involvements, isn't good enough to lead our line, especially when we are a club in absolute turmoil and zero stability. I stand by in saying that Pedro is arguably the most composed striker we've had since Anelka.

Glad you think he's the future. An overhead kick against a side that got spanked last night, good goal but we lost the game 3-1 and he was anonymous for most of the match - he's great against relegation fodder and we are at his level. Does he go on and become a top striker, IMO no. The league positioning tells its own story and the overall reduction in attackin players output is another, he isnt very good a linking up or bringing others into play, which is exactly the type of striker we need, Delap should have been but isnt. We are a mid table club, Pedro is a mid table striker. Is he better than Jackson, no I dont think he is... might look better on and off the ball but their first season stats... one goal between them. Jackson first season 35 games 14 goals 5 assistsPedro 33 15 5. As you can see, its a MASSIVE improvement, absolutely huge... colossal... Pedro cost x2 Jackson. If Jackson isnt good enough, neither is Pedro. I'll leave it here as there are a lot who think differently and we cant upset the groupthink on here, its easier to attack the poster than the reasoning.
May 8May 8 We are lucky to have J Pedro, without his goal contributions we would have been in greater trouble this year. Hes a stylish player capable of taking and making chances. He is the least of our concerns just now. I wouldnt be surprised if he was a target for a few teams in the summer, both in the Premier league and Europe.
May 8May 8 Shaun Wright Philips has advised Pedro to jump ship and join Barca.Hopefully Barca have been listening to the views of @bluelightening and will now know he is nowhere near good enough!

If you blocked him how comes you read his post.
May 8May 8 I defended Jackson more than most on here but to compare him on a level JP is frankly ridiculous.I believe JP is more than good enough to lead our line. He has a much better than average football IQ whereas Jackson erm……. doesn’t.Jackson has him on pace. Nothing else.

THAT'S HOW FOOTBALLERS AND FOOTBALL WORKS.. EVERYONE COMPARES THEMSELVES TO EACH OTHER AND WE WORK OUT WHO IS BETTER. THAT'S HOW CFC CHOOSE PLAYERS (ON DATA AND PERFORMANCE) THAT'S WHY WE HAD A DEBATE FOR TEN YEARS ABOUT WHO WAS BETTER, RONALDO OR MESSI, OR LAMPARD V GERRARD.I believe JP is more than good enough to lead our line. GLAD YOU BELIEVE IT, I DONT, ONE MORE GOAL THAN JACKSON - IF JACKSONS NUMBERS WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH NEITHER IS PEDRO.He has a much better than average football IQ whereas Jackson erm……. doesn’t.DOES HE? THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS AS A STRIKER IS GETTING THE BALL IN THE NET. HE'S DONE THAT ONE MORE TIME THAN JACKSON. Jackson has him on pace. Nothing else.PEDRO HAS ONE GOAL MORE THAN JACKSON IN HIS FIRST SEASON. I ARGUE BOTH ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH

It was only you I insulted because you are a total c**t.
May 9May 9 I was hoping he'd lead the line today, been anonymous so far. can he break his duck of not scoring against better teams?
