Least of all to a broke ass club like Barcelona.

Losing a lot of respect for Deco as it seems like he is trying to get into the ear of a lot of Brazilians to force a move.

Same Jurno from Brazil that first reported we would sign Joao, and in time to play his part in the CWC, is stating the move to Barca is in ongoing discussion and he is saying a total fee of 86million pounds, including all bonuses and payments over time, will get it done.

They'll easily exceed the $1bn revenue mark this season thanks to CL QF + league win, and they're set to lose some big wages if Lewandowski and others move on. They need to spend big on a striker and a partner for Pau Cubarsi.

I'd honestly bite their hand off for it. Pedro has been good this season but i'm not seeing anything that would make me think he's a 30 G/A a season player at PL level, and his streaky nature is equal parts frustrating as brilliant when he is on fire. The only issue is that there's no clear replacement, the striker market just gets worse and worse.

During the negotiations I'd also be in Deco's ear about how funny it would be if Barcelona gazumped Real Madrid for Enzo Fernandez in their election year, and that if you have another 86m we'd be happy to see it....

Could be they tell the next head coach his striker options are to get the best out of Delap and Guiu.

That or maybe to fix the relationship with Nico so he can come back.

Or play all 3 of them! it would be like Anelka, Drogba, Kalou . . .

Delap, Guiu, Nico

I have zero issues selling him for the fees being mentioned but don't trust our board to sign a good replacement, especially now the striker market has slim pickings

BlueCo have signed 7 strikers since they took over. If we sell Joao we'd have to roll with one or two of the remaining 6 strikers on the books.

God no, we shouldn't be selling the ones that actually perform in this sh*thole we've been since Eghbali and Co took over.

Want to sign a striker? Sure, by all means go out there and get us a Haaland or the next big thing, but please sell first Jacko, Delap, Guiu, Washington, Emegha, Fofana (remember him?) and let the one that actually played decently stay and fight for his place and improve the core of the team.

Even if there is any truth to this and we are entertaining a bid of 100M+, I am pretty sure Barca don't have that kind of money at the moment.

It’s Deco being a mug and trying to get Pedro to force a move, yet by all accounts Pedro is completely fine in staying.

Barca would also do something daft and offer €90m in 15 installments
