July 10, 20251 yr “Strasbourg have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Amougou on a permanent deal”This is another signing I never understood, why did we even sign him? Will be interesting to see what amount Strasbourg put on their books.Sarr & Anselminho are another two I just don’t see the point. They are never going to get minutes.

Fofana is broken and Chalobah is one of the most valuable, saleable assets this mob have got.

He it seems is part of a two player deal to Strasbourg alongside Samuels-Smith deal in the region of £25-30 million
July 10, 20251 yr Buy back included. €15m transfer.Bizarre all around, but with Paez, Samuels-Smith, Amougou, Anselmino, and Penders I’m definitely watching Strasbourg this season. Edited July 10, 20251 yr by Sconnie Blue

Cough cough!
July 10, 20251 yr Happy to admit I never even realised we’d signed this bloke so he’ll be sorely missed for sure. Probably had a more positive impact on the club than Jackson.

The £60 million figure is a figment of a journalists imagination That same journalist said we could add players to the a list before it’s submitted on 2/9 and take the proceeds from their sales. Not going to go into it all again but my belief is that we are required to submit an A list for season 25/26 and we can only replace players on that list savings are made to compensate. As someone said to me yesterday is it even feasible that Gittens and Pedro would sign if they weren’t guaranteed/ likely to be on the A List. His view was interesting in that he wonders if people ( journalists) have forgotten how the player costs for the squad ratio costings are put together
July 10, 20251 yr Have to probably sell one or two to Strasbourg as the loan limit is pretty low and we need to move some players. Really interesting to see Strasbourg next season and what their squad is like.

Too short a time to judge whether he'll get decent minutes for us, but long enough for him to realise he's unhappy and wants to go home.
July 11, 20251 yr We paid around 15m€ for him in January, selling him for how much? In any case, we needed a CF and the board went and bought this midfielder. Baffling to say the least.
July 11, 20251 yr Vast majority of these kids we're signing we will never see. It's just a financial game to these people.

If you do that with intelligence you can make profit with these players as host of clubs in the world do. I think we can use the lure of the big club to some of them to see wheter they have it or not. Nothing new to footballing world but to us it is. But I think most of us can identify which of the young players are clearly for the first team such as Estevao and Paez. We just need to learn this and not get emotional over these players. None of the young players were harmed by this so why would you be upset. This sort of thing will probably be even bigger when we get one or two clubs to our multiclub model. I am not talking about the ethics of it here or wheter it is right. That is just what european football is at this moment.

As so many of the 50 other players in the team. This is the very definition of harming someone's career for the possibility of a greedy board making a few bobs.

Talk to top players, learn from them, see the life of a top footballer. Now he is going to a club that will play him on a good level. I think that boy is very lucky.
July 11, 20251 yr Good luck to him. Will hopefully get the playing time he needs, and be happier in France. If he blossoms into a really good player, then the option is there. That tier A list looks a little tight to me - Noni will make a sizable dent, but if limited to that list, it will take one of Trev, KDH, Guiu or Jackson to get us there. The additional clubs sales are interesting as they create the room we need to sign a CB, but perhaps not in future Uefa years.edit - Nuknku should be on that list also, and will close the gap. They were lucky to be trained by Maresca and talk to Jackson! What else can they ask for in life?
