Jackson transfer

Jackson is 25 in June. Guiu only turned 20 in January. I see way more technical ability and physicality in Guiu than I do in Jackson.

shame he finds it easier to miss an open net and sitters two yards out than score. He missed a sitter early doors with us and his confidence has never recovered. Not going to make it with us and shuold be able to get what we paid for him. Falls very easily into the young bright prospect but never good enough for EPL. Will do well in France, Spain or Italy. wish him well, shouldnt be here next season.

That's fine, but we're talking about our squad in 3 months time, not 18 months.

I understand people saying we have to sell Jacko, if they mean to then fund buying a Solanke to rotate with Pedro.

But right now there's a lot of people who seem to be very happy to sell Jackson and start next season with Emegha and Guiu on the bench...

Got to say, no disrespect to anyone, but the fact we're debating about Jackson upfront for us next season, with Pedro and Delap or Guiu tells me we are going to have a difficult season and how far we've fallen. Pedro has only really replaced Jacksons goals this season and not gone much further and both suggests mid table strikers, Jackson was 20 million less than Pedro and they achieve th same output. Both players go through long spells without doing zip, and the understudys just dont score... at all. Is playing both Pedro and Jackson going to add 30 goals to our tally next season? hmmmm... not so sure.

I think we're in big trouble.

This weird praise of Guiu is so disingenuous simply because of the dislike of Jackson. It’s like when people tried hyping Broja under Poch, and what we got was a player who’d find it difficult even in the championship.

Guiu needs a good 2-3 seasons on loan playing regularly before we even know what kind of player he is.

If we had any ambition we’d be looking for a top class 9 to push Pedro out or to use with him.

There is a real lack of quality no 9’s in World football I remember England alone would have half a dozen.

All that false 9 bo**ocks from a few years ago as left a void.

The fact that we keep buying players who aren't good enough to play for us is it an indictment of our useless failed transfer policy. Despite the hints that we might be about to "tweak" the policy a bit, I can't see where the funds are going to come from anyway?

All I have to add is that if people thought Wacko was bad (He was, f**king awful to be totally honest) then we’re all in for a whole new world of pain with Emegha next season.

I don't know anything about him , is he really that useless??

Imagine all the worst/weakest parts of Lukaku’s game and exaggerate them 10 fold.

Panichelli would’ve been 1,000 x the pick up and I’m still somewhat hoping BlueCo fudge the books/transfer somehow to leave EE at Strasbourg and bring Panichelli here instead.

I’m sick of it. We should only sign players that get in or at least challenge for a first team spot. Squad players… it’s nonsense. Improve the first team and that improves the squad.

It doesn’t look like they have changed does it… we don’t even have a manager so who’s making these decisions?

Jackson fudged Guiu's loan this season because the management got the transfer strategy wrong. 90 million on two strikers last summer and moving the one who scored on loan, regardless of what you think of Jacko... it was staggering at the time and still is. Guiu needs games, goals and confidence because it looks gone from his game. but how we got here was and is farcical.

I had to look that place up " A serene picturesque escape" .it says.

I hope you don't spoil the serenity when you get out there Jim ! Have a good trip mate, looks splendid.

I’ll be there... like a wart, unceremoniously attached to the base of a distinctly phallic shaped karst. The good people of Tam Coc might need to borrow @just cream to get rid of me....

No, they're just sensible and aren't agenda driven when the alternatives are Delap and Guiu, two players who aren't Premier League level, and Emegha who looks like the most nailed on flop I've ever seen.

The cartel are deluded and blind....just because you think Delap and Guiu are not the solution, does NOT make Wacko the fraudulent donkey the answer.... Said it once, will repeat as often as needed - if Jackson is the answer you are giving, then someone is asking the wrong question.

Flying back from Munich....what's the worst disaster that can happen? It's the hope that kills you.... or the failed take off.

I think the fact is though, those who are saying Jacko is the answer, is because we all assume the SDs are going to ask the "wrong question". As they are morons.

Their question this summer is going to be "Should we go into next season with Pedro, Emegha and Guiu and sell Jackson and Delap"

Now surely even you, in answer to that question, would think Jackson is better on our bench than any of the other names.

Jackson actually is the RIGHT answer Jim.

That's if the question is " which striker is the one that Jim doesn't like very much"

Incorrect.

Would prefer anyone else over jackson... he is a stain on the club, and needs to be gone permanently.

Seems about right....I should have guessed the moron would spell my name wrong. To be honest, I would be surprised if he didn't also spell the word 'out' incorrectly - he always was utterly stupid, both on and off the pitch.

Both Delap and Guiu have been outscored by Malo Gusto.

Anyone but Jackson though! 😂

Not sure of the stats, but would have though Gusto has played more minutes that both combined - possibly many times over. Hitting Guiu with the lack of goals when he hardly had a kick seems silly.

Yeah fair enough, this season in the PL and CL, Gusto has one goal every 827 minutes whilst Delap/Guiu combined have one goal every 706 minutes. Prolific.

Jackson for the last 3 seasons, 1 goal every 115 minutes this season, last season 224 minutes and season before every 200 minutes.

But I reckon you're right. Delap and Guiu are just about to turn a corner and really really smash em in next season. Lets ship Jacko out and put our faith in these two.
