So I am seeing some of the reactions elsewhere from our fan base of wanting to give us a bunch of credit for this comeback draw.

Credit after that first half garbage?

Here is where I will Give credit:

Reece James for that world class free kick and his leadership.

Robert Sanchez for how he has turned it around, and that pass to Joao.

Joao Pedro for that quality goal.

Rest of them can do one. Newcastle had a past it Schar, a Milan reject and a midfielder who had to play right back cause they had no one else at the back. They were ravaged and we made that lanky streak of piss look like a world class striker.

Do better.

The fans used to have standards.

Just catching up with the ‘uproar’ around the Chalobah challenge with Gordon.

Apparently every expert and his dog is labelling it ‘stonewall’ even Super Ally who I actually respect and speaks sense most the time.

Now either I’m looking at this with some extremely blue tinted glasses on or the games totally gone.

It was a 5050 shoulder to shoulder that that horrible little fanny with a face only a mother could love came off worse from? Trev did a fantastic bit of defending?

Agree. The overreaction is bizarre. I think the VAR decision against Fulham - when that guy trod on Trevoh - has run its course, so the media has decided they need a new Chelsea VAR outrage to get worked up about. It was a textbook dominant shoulder charge where our guy came off best. If he'd made contact with Gordon's back then it would have been a penalty, but it was clearly shoulder to shoulder. If VvD, Gabriel, Saliba or Gvardiol had done it the media would have been having orgasms about how strong they are when muscling opponents off the ball.

The ref and VAR denied Everton a stonewall penalty last night when Saliba kicked Barry. Shoulder to shoulder contact is legal. Kicking someone is not.

If we start games as we did in the 2nd half, we could win any game. There is no excuse for starting the way we do, it's just putting ourselves at a major disadvantage.

Play with intensity, take the game to the opposition, that's how you win. You don't win games waiting for something to happen, you disrespect the opposition thinking you can just walk your way to victory.

It's beyond belief that unless the players are told to play with more intensity, win second balls etc , they are unable to do it until they are told to do it at half time !!

"

I actually thought we'd got away with one there but having looked at the rules and decision , it was correct.

Dunno about the Garnacho one though, got lucky with that one I think.

""Chalobah made contact with his upper body rather than committing a careless, reckless, or excessive force foul.

The decision kept the score at 2-1 following Reece James' earlier reduction of Newcastle's lead, preserving a tense finish in the lunchtime fixture..""

Btw how did Palmer play yesterday. Hardly mentioned his name on the radio yesterday, especially first half??

Not great, but this was yet again down to Maresca's stupid ass tactics which shifts Palmer to the left.

Just can't stand this manager anymore. Treating Palmer as this Odegaard orchestrator when its clear his best influence is remaining on the left side channel.

Thanks for info mate 👍

Good shout!

Fed up with commentators and pundits over reacting to incidents.

I'll give credit to Caicedo too. He was a beast (again).

The defense and wingers were sh*te though.

Well said. I do like Cucurella's intensity which seems to be lacking in so many other areas but I will certainly concede that the best starting full back today was a 19 year old Geordie being played out of position.

Really warms the cockles to hear an oppo fan say that. We love Miley and we're all f**king terrified that PSR will force us to sell him at some point, as we did Anderson.

Look, I understand bias will play a part here, but for me, the challenge on Gordon by Chalobah was a nailed on penalty. No intent to play the ball and while shoulder-to shoulder is fine if two players jostling for the ball, it's not when one comes through like a TGV as first contact. To be honest I thought the officials were sh*t for both teams. there were orange cards all over the shop, but Madley never really had a grip on the game. The Chelsea we faced in the second half were worlds apart from the timid lot we saw in the first. I don't fully understand Maresca-ball but I guess it's working?

James is an absolute Rolls Royce of a player and it's a shame he's injured so often.

Anyway, if you'd offered me a point before the game I'd have snapped your hands off, so I can't be too salty that we got it.

Hope all that made it up for the game had a good time in Newcastle, and maybe see you in the LC final?

I didn't think it was nailed on as i felt it was side on. But if it had been given for over aggression i would have accepted it. Tbh i was just pleased to see a bit of bo**ocks from one of our players in that first half. What was nailed on, in this day and age, was a red card for Garnacho. That from a fair minded and unbiased Shay Given, was bang on imo
