3-1, we finish with 9 men. Schar OG getting us on the score sheet.

Post match, Enzo reveals our new shirt sponser (Fruit of the Loom). "These boxer breifs, best support I have had in 48 hours."

Interesting to see how we line up for this. We defo need Garnacho and Neto as the wingers. I think Palmer may be on the bench because Enzo will be in the no.8/10 and James and Caicedo I assume will be in the midfield pivot. I would not start Palmer out wide with the way Newcastle like to press. He needs to be in the centre for this as if he is out wide, he will become an issue defensively. He scored against Everton but still does not look himself yet. I am sure Enzo will start but don't think both Enzo and Palmer should start in this.

Sanchez

Gusto Fofana Chalobah Cucurella

James Caicedo

Neto Enzo/Palmer Garnacho

Pedro

Looks like on top of all their other defensive injuries the Toon will now be missing Tino Livramento as well.

Yep. We playing Newcastle at a good time. They have a bit of an injury crisis. Burn, Trippier, Krath, Botman, Lascelles all injured. Hall was not in the squad tonight due to a minor hamstring injury, so Miley played at RB. Livramento went off injured late in second half and had a rookie coming on at LB and Howe just said now that it doesn't look good when a player goes down like that, so assuming he is out weekend. We also have a day's extra rest than they do.

That is most of their backline injured. Even with Estevao injured, we have players who can hurt them. Just need to not capitulate like we have done in recent seasons at SJP and keep firm against the hostile crowd. Keep 11 on the pitch and hopefully we can pick up a vital points on Saturday. Like I say, a good time to be playing them, hopefully.

Morning lads, Geordie in peace here with some beer advice.

There's over 100 pubs in walking distance of the ground

Bridge Tavern is good for food and the terrace etc. The Forth is a personal favourite, decent selection of beers, good crowd, really close to the ground. Get out to the Ouseburn area and you'll find some good bars/pubs, Tyne Bar chief among them (great view of the quayside and bridges up the Tyne). The Wylam Brewery in Exhibition park is a big taproom in a Grade II listed building constructed to exhibit art back in the 1920s.

Tilleys is a bit less refined than the Forth, but it's got the sport on, and a good selection of beers too.

Hope all who make it up enjoy the visit. Long f**king way to go just before Christmas, but at least it's not a night game.

Love going up to Newcastle, probably my favourite away place. It's a bloody long way to go but I always try to make a weekend out of it. Great atmosphere before the game, with all the Gers coming down from Scotland, great pubs, great atmosphere at St James' Park, and friendly locals (in my experience) after the game if going out for a few pints at night. Unfortunately, I'm away for Xmas already so will miss it this season.

Really want to be optimistic about this one, but it feels quite predictable. Slow start by Chelsea, aggressive fast start by Newcastle - gets the fans going immediately, and Chelsea forced into mistakes. Early goal for Newcastle, Chelsea settle after 25 mins, and we play slow football until late second half.

Prove me wrong Chelsea - start with intent and match the intensity of Newcastle. Be smart, don't give away stupid freekicks and needless bookings. Focus, show quality with aggression.

Alright, my team talk is done - very low expectations for tomorrow. Draw would be a good result (we've scored one goal there in last four years).

Charity FC will no doubt come out and balance all of that. As we have seen over the years, especially under Maresca, we lower ourselves to the oppositions standard far too often.

Our sick list - Levi Colwill, Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, Stevo,

Our AFCON players - none

Barcodes sick list - Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall, William Osula, Sven Botman, Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth, Nick Pope, Dan Burn

Barcodes AFCON players- none

CFC played in League Cup Tues 11 changes

Barcodes played in League Cup Weds - full strength line up

Despite our players being better rested and barcodes with more injuries I feel the very early away KO in a hostile stadium together with the Maresca factor levels the playing field. So unless Cole can turn on the magic can only see two possible outcomes a home win or we scrape a point.

Would love for Baldy to prove me wrong though !

I feel confident for tomorrow. It’s strange how lucky Maresca gets when things seem to be at the lowest. Palmer to the rescue after ditching Maresca-ball. He will then f**k it up against Villa with all the rotations.

Newcastle have lots of injuries, some poor form and play a low block/counter attack.

Charity FC incoming.

Eddie Howe always beats us.

Easy, pathetic 2-0 win for Newcastle. I have no faith.
