So, between this apparent deal and the players lined up from Strasbourg, absolutely nothing has changed. I wonder what Alonso’s position/feelings are about this.

I really can't get excited about another 21 year old, regardless of how talented they are.

The biggest issues we need to address are maturity, leadership and experience. Don't think this lad ticks any of these boxes.

Palestra must have a very good lawyer of he can get 4.3 nett from 5.2 m gross.

The most interesting about pelastri salary is that it show why selling player is not as easy as most fans want.

Midtable team in pl is paying around 100m+ in player salary and pelastri is being reported making around 8 m. So assuming we want to sell pelastri to midtable pl team, they need to consider him to be at starter or key rotation.

Forget the age thing. It's impossible to get excited over any signing from Serie A.

Ben Jacob’s on London is Blue podcast noted he was “serie a defender of the year”! They also spoke to his versatility, an attribute desired by Alonso.

Who knows, we’ve not done too bad with Italians in the past (pre blue co!).

Madman is a great album mainly due to Tiny Dancer and Levon but that is more in retrospect. In fact i don't think Tiny was released in the UK originally cos it was too long for standard radio dj record length. All of the work with Taupin is of the highest quality but Goodbye Yellow Brick Road has to be the seminal piece. It was a double album but the construction of the album cover made it appear like a triple and the track listing just trips off the tongue. Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting, Candle in the Wind, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Love Lies Bleeding, Bennie and The Jets, All the Girls Love Alice, Harmony and my album favourite Grey Seal. There isn't a track that isn't melodic and would be a foundation track on any of the other albums.

If he flops, becomes very difficult to move on. No one is taking on a salary of a player with 1yr first team experience who is on 20x his old salary.

The league is shockingly bad. Modric at 40 is the best player in the league. Pedro is still going strong at 39, so is Jamie Vardy, Cuadrado and Zappacosta is a starter for one of the top teams.
