It’s like when Kvaratskhelia was tearing up Serie A (WeAk LeAgUe) and we could have gone for him, ends up with two Champions league titles, and is arguably amongst the top 5 players in world football. Not to say, this guy is anywhere near that talent, but he’s an Italian youth playing where he was born, it is what it is. Least it’s not Bundesliga tax, we’ve had far more trouble with that.My question is how many footballers would have to loose a leg in an horrific accident for McTominay to with Premier League player of the year?

Wednesday at 10:212 days I really rate Palestra, he's a big improvement on Gusto. It's a lot of money for someone with his experience though, but given he's a proper wing back it shows it's more than likely an Alonso signing which is good

Wednesday at 10:392 days Looks like a great player and would read into Alonso wanting a back 3. Only a year at the top level, another risky signing.

If reports are to be believed, he is currently on €5k/w + €1k/w bonus. How we arrived at a base salary of £100k/w without European football & £140k/w with CL is mind boggling

Someone should tell them they shouldn't offer one of the most promising defenders in Europe absolute peanuts when sh*tter fullbacks/defenders in Serie A are earning more.

Wednesday at 11:282 days I hope he never, ever, tries a no look pass anywhere on the stamford bridge pitch. Having said that, he's italian and therefore probably will be good defending. fingers crossed.

Loaned to Cagliari for a season, a standard Atalanta procedure to widen young players' experience.Similar was said of Casadei though. Its an upgrade on Gusto, which isn't hard, so i am happy about that. But i have genuinely got to the stage where i am meh over any signing coming from a foreign league. Once we have had a season or two from them to see if there can take the physicality and pace of the league then maybe. I think that Hato is now starting to acclimatize to our league and looks a solid signing, but there are so many ineffectual players in the group that just aren't up to it.At least this lad appears to have the right physical attributes to be present and physically adept at the back post when the crosses come raining in, rather than the pretty useless Gusto.

A shame. A season on loan at Leicester under Maresca did him no favours. Anyway, altogether different from a FB. Wait a season or two? End up bemoaning we didn't act sooner.
Wednesday at 12:052 days The lad seems good although another indication of our confusing transfer policy as I thought we were looking to sign experienced players, who are Premiership-ready? Malo Gusto - who is now Premiership-ready - will have an awesome season at Citeh now most likely. It is good to sign the young lads but we do need to balance that out a bit with a few grown ups.
Wednesday at 12:222 days Never seen him play, so dont really have an opinion on him. Happy that its seems like an Alonso signing, no links to City or Joe Shields. Still very raw though, less than 100 appearances again. We will see. Does this mean a definate wing back system? James at right centre back? Would be stramge to pay so much money, then dont play him in the position he has exploded onto the scene in. If its wing backs, Hato and Neto would not cut it for me on the left, Barco not really that player either.Been impressed with Maxi Araujo, seen some links with us.
