Gonzalo Garcia was discussed on here about being a possible striker target.

Top scorer at last year's CWC, played under Alonso, going for 34mill to Fulham.

Wonder why he was not someone Alonso wanted? At least I assume Alonso does not want him as he does appear to have say in some transfers, and Garcia ticks all of BlueCos model needs unlike say Pep Chavarria.

Antoine Semenyo confirmed deaf. Can't imagine a wide player ever enjoying playing under Maresca and being expected to beat at minimum two men from the touchline.

Yeah well. Gvardiol was at it yesterday. When was the last time a player bagged a newly-appointed coach?

We have 503 forwards at the moment, and it's debatable whether Garcia is as good as any of them to be honest. Garcia had a great but surprising breakout at the CWC, and then completely regressed in the league. 6 goals in 30 would be promising if he was still 18-19, but he's turning 23 so needs a starting place and he's not going to get one competing with Mbappe and Vinicius.

Real Madrid are reporting it as having sold "70% of the players' rights", which is just how they report a sell-on clause; it's likely that Fulham have had to concede a 30% sell-on clause + a buy-back price or first option to Real Madrid. None of that would be feasible for a top club. It's a good move for Garcia to get his career going and works for both parties.

Funny that 5-6 years ago Madrid were doing these deals with AC Milan and Juve, and now they're doing them with Fulham; probably shows just how low Serie A is these days?

Salah on the verge of signing for Trabonzspor for €22m net /yr + 20% of shirt sales. Where are these Turkish clubs funding these big transfers from? Ake, Greenwood, Trossard, Ugochukwu have all gone out there.

Find it odd Salah didn’t go to Saudi or MLS, probably helps that Turkey is 2hrs from Egypt. Crazy he had a 3yr £200m contract on the table just 6mths ago, and Liverpool were going to bank £100m.

Funniest sh*t I have seen in a while. Arsenal fans are losing it with Fabrizio Romano because Vinicius used them to sign a new deal with Real Madrid 🤣

I keep hearing gooners and even presenters saying isn’t it great though that we’re at that table😂

Stretchered off too. Season's already done for Elanga before it's started. I don't know what goes through some players heads at times.

Reminds me when Fofana got his initial leg break.

Turkish banks "willingly" restructured the debts owed by football clubs to give them huge amounts of cash at very low-interest. Then, the big clubs that owed that money started selling property. As sheer luck would have it, various Turkish government institutions just happened to be interested in said plots of land! Oh, and then some foreigners just happened to be keen on investing in Turkish real-estate, and were happy to pay in Euros or USD. Fun fact, because the President happens to pursue inflationary economic policy, the Turkish lira has collapsed and by golly gee suddenly it turns out that plot of land a club sold in Euros is worth a squillion in Turkish lira by the end of the year.

If you think BlueCo are good at writing off FFP/PSR debt, they have nothing on the Turkish Superliga clubs leveraging forex to do their dirty work.

The league is propped up by a system that allows the average Turkish person's wage to be worth half as much in real terms, in a year's time. UEFA and FIFA, of course, have no intention of taking any sort of action.

Everton and Palace swap Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. Like for like. Under-achievers both. Palace paid Spurs £35m for Johnson in one of their sillier deals. He has proved over several seasons that he's Championship level.

PSG exercise their buy back agreement to bring Lucas Digne home. At least they will pronounce his name properly.

Evangelos Marinakis: Nottingham Forest owner sues Crystal...

Evangelos Marinakis is suing Crystal Palace for a banner unfurled by their fans depicting the Nottingham Forest owner holding a gun to midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White's head.

Evangelos Marinakis is suing Crystal Palace for a banner unfurled by their fans depicting the Nottingham Forest owner holding a gun to midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White's head.

Marinakis' lawyers lodged the defamation claim in the High Court on Monday, with CPFC Limited listed as one of the two defendants.

The banner, seen during a 1-1 Premier League draw between the two sides at Selhurst Park last August, read: "Mr Marinakis is not involved in blackmail, match-fixing, drug trafficking or corruption."

Marinakis has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to such allegations.

In November 2025, the Football Association had charged Palace with failing to ensure that supporters did not behave in an improper, offensive, abusive or provocative way.

While the banner was not specified as the reason for the charge, there are strict rules regarding messaging containing defamatory, political and offensive slogans.

England international Gibbs-White had come close to leaving Forest last summer after Tottenham appeared to trigger a £60m release clause.

But he signed a new contract to stay at Forest and spoke about his decision during an interview alongside Marinakis.

Marinakis-owned Forest had taken Palace's place in the Europa League last season after the south London club were relegated to the Conference League for breaking Uefa's multi-club ownership rules.

BBC Sport has approached Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest for comment.

King Power have put Leicester up for sale for £200m.

That's the sort of ballpark figure that Todd should have bought a club at. He wouldn't have needed any business partners at that number.

I still maintain that Roman absolutely fleeced BlueCo when he sold the club.

Russell Martin is exactly the sort of charlatan they would have hired as manager too.

A consortium involving Jeff Bezos buying a third stake of Liverpool?

Now how will this impact the league.

I guess that probably not a lot. Surely they’ll be as restricted as everyone else by the PSR rules?
