Y_dizzie
I wouldnt give anybody the vote in this one, maybe Joe Cole if he hadnt missed that one.
Enrico
Great save Cech, but I vote Maka. Would've been 0 points instead of 1 if not for Maka-vs-the-world defending. Alex was useless.
The Moos
I'm currently chosing between Maka, Alex and Cech. Maka - Worlds greatest defensive midfielder and produced the best corner today. Solid effort and a life saver. Alex - Came on and outshone Ben Haim. Couldn't see any mistakes and he looked quite good going forward too. Cech - He's Cech. Saved us again today. Not sure who I'm going to chose yet.
Sofa Manager
Maka ex aequo Belletti. I vote Belletti.
Englishman
Toss up between Maka and Cech. Between them they spared us an embarassing result.
Makelele
Cech, when you are a keeper and you dont get many touches and then have to come up big in the last minutes, that is the sign of a superstar and that is what he is!
andy
Maka for my second match in a row... Sorry but he is in a different league we will miss him when he goes. Joe was brilliant in the first half And dare I say, since Jose left Ashley Cole has looked a lot better playing his natrual game of going forward when he can. g3.7
beletti was poor today...alex was decent apart from a big mistake when we were playing very openly... cashley, was improved, a decent peformance and he used the ball a lot better than he has been doing so. for me, maka was great- felt sorry that he had to carry the ball and try to pass to the strikers- sidwell carries... very little presence, I guess is the word. I still see him as a player who would be a squad player at blackburn... joe is my motm this time- he was knackered by the end of it, but he does put in the miles and in the first half particularly his touch and dribbling were at his excellent best. only dangerous player aside from dd. Alan
Joe Cole MOTM for me.
geezer
Maka was outstanding bar a couple of loose passes today. Looked as though he really cared and tried to drive the team on after Drog's red moment.
nickwus
Mourinho! :) but I voted for Joe...if anyone was going to create anything, it was him. Sheva at least was trying in the first half, but my god, his confidence is so shot he can't even get a shot on target from a free kick
ozboy
I voted for Maka who looked world class, and creative in the midfield as well as defending. Even made some great long passes, a previously unseen side of his game.
Tommy Power
its got to be maka for me he was brilliant and he showed class today pretty gutted at that performance, no one seemed to have a clue what they were doing, belletti was intent on steaming up the bitch, sheva was woeful, sidwell non existant the and all of our frontmen seemed to get in the way of eachother constantly
The Moos
Sheva has two votes. I'm impressed. But nobody seems to be willing to admit who gave the votes Even Cudicini has a vote. I didn't see much of him today but he kept a clean sheet anyway
ethicalstrategy
Joe Cole MOTM for me. I'm assuming this is a serious poll and not a joke one? The players who stood out for me were Cech who did all that was asked of him, Drogba who really lifted his game and tried to lift the team and the fans in the second half and Maka who really took charge in the second half. It was good to see Maka realise that we needed someone to get a grip and come over and take corners. He was my MoM.
just
Maka had a great 2nd half, and we would have lost the game without that saving tackle. Still a wonderful player. But Joe Cole gets my vote. Best player on the pitch in the first half by a country mile. Invention, touch, passing, ability to go past opponents. Everything really. g3.7
he deserves them this time. it was a bit predictable that the moment jose left any poor peformance from joe would be an example of him "going 3 years backwards". in any case, he was, drogba aside, our only threatening player. BlueBosnian
Sheva has two votes. I'm impressed. But nobody seems to be willing to admit who gave the votes Voted for him. Reason: He was misplaced, did not play a position that suits him, and still managed to get a lot of the ball and fought for it the hardest out of all of the Blues. Sure he did not score, and sure he was brought to Chelsea for that reason (had to say it before "just" comes and quotes me and says it for me ), but it is not his fault that Grant put him as a midfielder, more to create chances, which he has no experience doing, than to be up front and score goals. Still he tried, ran, and wanted to. He was the only one who really tried. I cannot see Kalou or Drogba getting more points than him for this match. Kalou would not even be on my 5 subs list, forget the first team. Drogba is obviously not fit, but did very little except get two stupid yellow cards which put us a man down. So laugh all you want, but other than Cech who I cannot give my vote to just because of one great save, I'm voting for the player a lot of people booed as he came off.
