I was hoping for a home match on 8 November, that would have fitted great workwise. Now I'm not sure what I can arrange 

Quite fancy an away European match but have absolutely no idea how to go about it!  Last year there were Thomas Cook package deals for some (all?) of the matches.  Is this normal?  Any tips from anyone as to how easy it is to get tickets etc?  All advice welcome!

Probably because he’s right? The club have acted shockingly yet again towards a successful manager. It’s been public knowledge we’ve been chasing Sarri all summer and then we have Conte doing pre season training and sack him two or three days in? Piss poor from the club, no denying it!!

Well that's the decision really. For me I'd prefer someone who has had success but can adapt to England quickly. 
Hence my preference for someone who plays solid and physical football like Simeone or Allegri over a Sarri or Enrique.
Conceicao is interesting. His Porto team play 4-4-2 with a strong press and overlapping fullbacks. But 4-3-3 in the big games. Ferguson style football. They got shown up by Liverpool with a few key injuries but he is probably going to win the Portuguese league for the first time in three years after selling Neves and Andre Silva and buying no one. 
Not saying he should be the next manager but he's worth keeping in mind. Was the preferred candidate of PSG's technical director for their job.

True.  Didn't say it was a bad thing, but imagine the uproar from some  of the smartarses in here who have never even been to a football match, but get all their football knowledge from their Sky subscription and what Redknapp and Neville tell them,  if the club actually said "we're going to have a few years of  building a team, using the academy and getting back to the Chelsea way,so we probably won't be winning much over that period!" 
FFS we've had people in here claiming that sitting in their mum's spare room watching a stream gives an equal  match-day experience and game viewpoint as actually being at the Bridge.  I think that some of them have invented a very special telly that allows them to look through the very small window of pitch view that Sky or BT provide and see round the edges of the screen to see exactly what the rest of the pitch, all the players, the manager,  the bench and the crowd are all doing.
Imagine what would happen to their support if we didn't get to be the main match on Sky/BT as often as we do, if we featured as the Super Sunday superstars about as often as Everton or Brighton.  
I've said many times before, a lot of members in here are great football fans, who happen to have locked onto Chelsea in the recent past, rather than Chelsea fans specifically.  I mean, at least one of these football tactical brains has spent some time recently calling the manager and several players c**ts, has has openly boasted about betting against the team.  Not a fan, in my view, and the sooner that sort f**ks off the better.

Conte & the board have made mistakes this season but Conte is still a great manager, we can't keep sacking managers every time we have a bad season after wining the league..we need some consistency & we need to give Conte a chance to learn from it & take us foward the next season. Let's see what happens, hope he stays..would like to see how he turns things around next season . 

Some of our fans don't deserve Hazard. Some of the things I read about this player sometimes is appalling. 2 time PL champion, arguably the best player in 2 title winning campaigns under two different managers, 3 time CFC player of the year (all time record), one of the only 3 Chelsea players to win the PFA player of the year, most team of the year appearances by any Chelsea player ever.
Yet some of you talk about him like he's nothing in a moment of adversity or/and dip in form and just right off what he's achieved. He's been very loyal to us. He didn't hand in a transfer request like Suarez did. He didn't hand in a transfer request like Coutinho did. If he wanted he could have left last season or the season before. Let's show some loyalty in return to a Chelsea legend. It's only fair.

This team may not have the leaders from the 2012 team but this team has more talent and pace to hurt Barca. In the first leg we created many opportunities and on another day could have won 3-0 or 3-1 but such is our luck this season . If we show the right attitude we can definitely score more than 1 at the Camp Nou. The players seem more motivated in the CL & understandably so. I think 2 goals would do it for us, i don't think we'll concede more than 2. Going for a 2 all draw. Goodluck blues.

Before our goal, I like that Willian looked up, saw Morata in a very good position, then thought 'Hmm... maybe not' and took the shot on himself.

Would definitely start rotating from now all the way to second leg against Barcelona.
Surprise Mourinho by playing Giroud and Morata up top. Give Bakayoko another chance too, Surely he can’t be that hopeless all the time?

That was a good performance from us actually better than 2012 in an attacking sense ..we looked so dangerous when we got in and around their box and we created more chances . We kept Suarez and messi really quite, if it wasn't  for a mistake we would have won..barca never looked like scoring. On another day we would have won 3-1 and Willian would have had a hatrick. I feel if we score 2 goals away that would be enough to see us go through. Be proud guys we made barca look a mediocre team . We deserved the win .

You can be happy with Oblak but the way the board are set up we'll end up signing Joe Hart. 

I absolutely detest how some Clubs force a new signing to sing their tunes.......ohh I supported utd since I was in my mom belly.........I joined cuz utd are by far the biggest Club in the World........I feel like a Little child signing for utd and on and on.
Same with pool........its like these Clubs have a huge fetish when it comes to that. Didnt Joe Cole say something similar at pool? And then came out and said he was forced etc?
Ohh yes mr Sanchez, its cuz its utd......nothing to do with the 15m signing fee......nothing to do with 450 plus wages a week.......and your agent getting 20m for a couple of calls here and there.
I dont care WHO he is or how good he is........no way I would want us to pay all that for a f**king Sanchez. And of course no one in the media says anything.....they are all cumming that utd have got him.

We have become the joke of this transfer window . 

We're dumb if we don't at least try and sign Sanchez.
Few months left on his contract and he's eligible for every single competition bar the League Cup.
Sanchez, Mahrez, Vidal and Sandro would be a decent January for starters.
Shipping off OnoYoko would be well worth it too.

PL performance of the season for me , we dominated them for 95% of the game. Morata's best performance as well he looked strong & Pacey didn't give the call away, made good passes and that finish ..wow. Rest of the team were outstanding as well. A performance of champions.

Palace might only get 6 points all season and only score in 2 games out of 38, and they would still beat us twice.

Getting closer to kickoff. Any of you at the Bridge already? I was able to make this match last April, the 2-1 winner. Hope to see the same result today.
I love match days at the Bridge, especially the buzz when playing the likes of City, United, etc.
