Well dont know about you guys but perfect result for me, couldnt decide who i wanted to win although if im honest i was more behind england than israel.. Any way yet another example of how cluless maclaren is, what ever israle offerd england should be good enough to beat them! but didnt even look close and it would have actually been harsh on israel if they had won. Its times like this i feel the need to point out the CV upon which the CV have decided to make the appointment of maclaren on. One league cup One top ten finish!!! for crying out loud people one top ten finish and we gave him the keys to the kingdom, as clueless as maclaren is the guy that made the appointment needs to be instatunalised immeaditly!! won a few relagation fights. Fartherd stuart downing And the reason i think he got the job..... has the ability to throw on masimo maccerone (8 million signing) in the dying minitues of a game to help save things!!!! however, why a manager that has achieved so little, is a terrible judge of player, has no tactical or motivational abilitys was given the job is supprising not beyond me... FACT the FA need some one they can control, history shows this and on the few occations some one with a bit of bite was given the job they saw the door at the earliest possible oportunity.

Id also like to see mikel futher up the pitch where he can do more damage with his natural game but more to the point i still think dirrara is a carbon made replacment for maka. Had a stinker against spuds first game but as i have said before that followed a string of excellent performances when he has been used there in the past, both in spells this season and at the end of last season when we had won the league. Still has a lot to learn but his forward passing is very good and again would alow us to utilise mikel behind the strikers where i personly feel he would do the most damage!

Pretty dull game actually, but 3 points is 3 points... Dont think its worth doing any player ratings so just going to make a few comments on the players i think deserve a mention for one reason or another. First of all though lampard was excelent, in what was a pretty stiffuled game he used the ball well and quickly, defended well and got forward well. Ironicly it drab match one of his better games this season!! Then again it might just because he is playing next to ballak who by the way if he was playing for city might have got MOM for perfect pass completion because he didnt fail to find a light blue shirt all night, AWFULL performance, please please please, can one of his stout defenders come out and tell me why he warrents to start when all players are fit and avilible!??? Maka back and looking sharp again, says it all really, clean sheet!! not a lot of bother. Drogba Magnificent again strong energetic. Kalou looked very exciting and can only get better unfortunatly robben could have offered more, never really took the game by teh scruff of the neck like we all are crying out for him to do and more to the point know he can

Im thinking its probably best to post this now while its still a posibiltity but, if it comes to having the manur game moved to last game of the season and a few results go the right way it could be what is essentualy 3 finals in 3 weeks or so... Last game of the season could and lets be honest hopefully decide who wins the prem. If both teams play to there best they should both we should both be in the final of the FA cup And as we know the CL has opend up so that we can only now meet in the final.. Could potentialy the most gloriouse end to any season or the most depressive!! Highly unlikly i know but worth mentioning while its still a posibility... Basicaly... get well soon Joe!!

He has actually played a couple of games at DM this seaosn as well as last and looked good in almost all of them so i dont know why people are getting on his back about one game.. cirtainly far from finished product, yes exciting prospect, deffinatly

The CL is about going up against the best teams in europe and seeing if youv got them beat. thats why i wasnt masivly exsited about the porto game, if we win its expected and if we loose there is the feeling of we really should have done better But this tie... could go either way, mout watering

Fergi's never been worried about taking a punt on a loose wire. With out a doubt one of the best about and i perosnly feel does more for barca that goofy All that said would never want to see him in a chelsea shirt..

Couple of things, porto where never at the races today, we where just that bad for the first half... full credit to jose, got to hand it to him more offten than not he gets it right and thats the mark of a great manager i suppose. On his changes i actually thought maka was poor first half, not the poorest just poor and jose saw that porto wernt actually pressing us in any way with the ball but closing him down early. Mikel was inspired and him and diarrar are looking to have great futchers. Drogs top game as well no didnt score but gave us so much. cole did well but would still rahter have bridge in essien a monster as usual and robben stepped up. not going to talk about the negatives cos we'r through and thats what counts. On another note if uefa are going to be consitent valencia need to be kicked out as in accordance with what happend to fyanored

I think wise has gone above and beyond this time, he is to be applauded putting his own career second in order to make sure that leeds go down another league

His time at west ham has oddly enough made him an even more tempting propersition. First of all, to the reading world he has looked poor when in fact as just points out just a player that went to the wrong team. So his stock is down which means his price will hopefully be down! Secondly he has had that famous setteling in season in the EPL. I still believe he will be a massive success given the right club in the prem.

To add to preiviosue comments, erm didnt we completely domminate for the first 5 months of last seaso as well, we pretty much had the league won by x-mass which is why we where able to be so shockingly inconsistent in the second half. This season i put a large degree of things down to the fact that we have had a horrific amount of injurys to some of our most importnant players. Its a myth that we have like for like that can just come of the bench and replace the likes of terry, chec, cole ect. All in all i think where we are in all competitions this season is actually quite impressive

not nesacerily, It was always going to be a case of arsenals kids coming at us with everything for the opening part of the game. And they where always gong to wear out quicker than us. I personly think a fresh robben in the second half was perfect to give there tired kids the run around

Agree with most of it brit but i would actually have chec as man of the match, stood no chance with the goal but made some world class stops and most importantly was immence when coming for crosses. Id also have robben on at least an 8, thought the game changed when he came on and we where really able to take it to them!! Steped up and performed when it matterd!!

Dont forget that both Boyer and Woodgate where very close to the fans hearts as well... it didnt matter if they where responsible for 3rd world poverty and doobs had put and end to that at there expecene he was always going to come out the bad guy!! your excuses are all well and good, and i do take our victory with a pinch of salt as your defense was out, but i take heart from the fact that you did F*** all offensively against us, and i dont rememeber you missing many of your attacking threats apart from flukey joe cole. Our big test are coming up soon, with the bluesh*te coming on the weekend and united soon after, but thats got nowt to do with you being bullish after beating a couple of poor lower division sides. I presume flunky is scouse for genuis!! becuase you have not got one player that can hold a candle to joe cole!! Sure you have gerrard, who runs a bout a lot has tremndou energy and hits a fairly decent shot every now and then but then you have lamps who is positionly better and essien who will eclipse both in years to come IMO all do more or less the same thing to varying degrees!! there is not a chance any of them could have scored a goal like the one cole scored against united at the end of last season!! they simpily dont have the natural tallent! and there is no one in your squad that offers you that.. kind of magic and invention!

beat me to it!! unlikely to ever happen as his stock has gone down ever since although heaven knows why at newcastle he had the ego battle with shearer which he was never going to win and you cant tell me that didnt effect the team and at fyanord he was there for bugger all time and actually did a very good job!! Just like to add the guy had eddie newton, Scott minto and george burly playing out of there skins, well above there station so to speak. Imagine what he can do with cole, robben, mikel ect!! He gave kalou his chance and it was his displays under ruudy that got the boy recognishion from cruyff and vanbasten pulling every poloiticle string to get him involved in the dutch team for the world cup and remmeber he didnt take huntelar or Maccky!! I think i have a got a little bit carried away there with a pipe dream!! Like to add i love Jose and dont want him going any where

The thing i would like to see the most is a reduction in the amount of CL teams.. This would have a knock on affect that would restore some prestige to the uefa cup and in turn domestic cups, noatably the league and fa cups
