January 3, 201115 yr Devil, about some people that get trapped in a elevator in a building taken by the "devil". Don't waste your time with this one, a bad and pathetic movie and the only good thing in this movie has to be Bojana Novakovic. January 3, 201115 yr Lundgren is a god, he got the f**king fullbright scholarship to go to MIT (I think it was MIT) to do a masters in chemical engineering. I am of the fervent belief that if him and Natalie Portman (was at Harvard doing a masters in psychology and is fluent in 3 languages) had a kid, we'd see the next step in human evolution right there... Also, I'd pay good money to watch Stallone mumble his way through some Shakespeare. :D Wow, theres some news. You would never expect that off him!! Agree with you on the movie, expected pointless violence and got it. I still managed to enjoy it.

January 6, 201115 yr Seen two movies recently. First I saw the spanish movie "Cell 211" which was about a young guy visiting a prison because he was going to start his new job as a guard there the next day. Unfortunately there's a riot and he's trapped inside. Luckily he's not all stupid so he pretends he's a new inmate. Good movie. Next a saw a movie I really should have seen a long long time ago - "12 Angry Men"! So effing brilliant. Loved it!
January 6, 201115 yr 127 Hours, the new Danny Boyle film about the climber Aron Ralston who fell when climbing and got his arm trapped under a rock. It's an absolutely fascinating film about what a man would do to survive, and his struggle with keeping his sanity. Definite must-see, though not for the faint hearted, the arm cutting scene is pretty gruesome. Rumours of people fainting during it in America (they faint when some one dies in a cartoon though, ffs) but numerous people had their heads in their hands, refusing to watch it and others simply walked out! Incredible film, has to get some Oscar nominations for best film and best actor.
January 9, 201115 yr Saw "Soul Kitchen" a German comedy last night, if you need to pigeon hole it, I'd say a typical film festival film, very enjoyable.

January 9, 201115 yr Watched a korean movie called "Chugyeogja" ("The Chaser"). Pretty good actually though perhaps not as good as I had expected. Kinda gruesome as well.

January 12, 201115 yr I hated Inception to be honest. I think it was the wrong movie for someone like Nolan to do. He is too literal-minded to do a movie on dreams. The best review I read on the movie was that Nolan's dreams are directed by Michael Bay. Could not agree more. I thought it was awful, confusing, stupid - sorry not my cuppa at all

January 17, 201115 yr Just home. But before leaving the UK I went to see the King's Speech, and thought it was a wonderful film. Colin Firth outstanding as Bertie/George VI, while Guy Pearce did an excellent David/Edward VIII/Duke of Windsor, getting just the right clipped accent for the voice of the profligate son. The only role that for me let it down was the woman who played Wallis Simpson. A film to go to if you like joined-up speaking!
