November 1, 201015 yr anyone who loves zombies should really watch it its amazing! Off-topic, but I'd like to recommend an excellent zombie movie most haven't seen - "The Last Man on Earth" (1964) starring Vincent Price. Somewhat similar to "I am Legend", but better in the sense that you won't be annoyed by the idiot Fresh Prince. Edited November 1, 201015 yr by ThunderDan
November 2, 201015 yr Just watched The Walking Dead which premiered yesterday in USA, I loved it and if it keeps this quality I reckon it will be a cult one - anyone who loves zombies should really watch it its amazing! Started watching that too, definitely liked what I saw....the door with the "Do not open, dead inside" on it was creepy!
November 2, 201015 yr Coming soon: Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge Seven years after he was last on our screens Partridge - one of the country's most popular comic characters - appears in a new one-off online series, made up of a dozen 11-minute episodes, all written by the show's original creator Armando Iannucci. The trailer - a montage of clips with nothing more than mournful instrumental soundtrack - doesn't give much away, but the episodes will see him on air once again, presenting his new show Mid Morning Matters for the North Norfolk Digital radio station. He is assisted by younger DJ Simon (played by Edinburgh Comedy Aawrd-winning comedian and poet Tim Key) with whom he claims to have 'great banter'. Episodes will see Alan confronting an Alan Partridge imposter on Twitter, and hosting a phone-in to find the greatest ever person from Norfolk (in which Horatio Nelson goes up against Delia Smith). In one he also discusses his fondness for Billie Piper, telling listeners: 'I like her face. She has a very round cherubic face, rather like a Victorian doll that's somehow been re-animated. Say what you like about Billie Piper - but she is the most popular prostitute on ITV.' The new episodes, sponsored by Fosters, will appear on www.fostersfunny.co.uk from November 5. November 23, 201015 yr Just watched The Walking Dead which premiered yesterday in USA, I loved it and if it keeps this quality I reckon it will be a cult one - anyone who loves zombies should really watch it its amazing! I've yet to see the television series, but the comics are alright. I'm reading Book Four at the moment. I heard Frank Darabont directed the pilot, so it sounds interesting.
November 24, 201015 yr I've yet to see the television series, but the comics are alright. I'm reading Book Four at the moment. I heard Frank Darabont directed the pilot, so it sounds interesting. Only 6 episodes per season which is a shame, 4 out so far and its really good, I strongly recommend it to you! Other series im following right now are The Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family and Dexter. Dexter really is something special have not seen something near as good as it for some time now and this season has been amazing, only 3 episodes left which is a bummer!
November 24, 201015 yr Dexter really is something special have not seen something near as good as it for some time now and this season has been amazing, only 3 episodes left which is a bummer! Absolutely agree. I'd heard loads of great things about it but never got round to watching it, so I watched series 4 when it came out in the UK cause people said it was easy to get into, and it was absolutely brilliant, I loved every second of it. Have downloaded series 1, 2 and 3 and am halfway through 1 at the moment, and it's superb. By the way, only recently seen the cliffhanger to series 4, and it's easily one of the best cliffhanger's I've seen in a LONG time!!
January 24, 201115 yr Author Just bumping this thread for the lovers of the US tv shows out there. I recommend Fringe to anyone at the moment it is absolutley brilliant! Season 3 is defaintly picking up with the latest episode.
January 24, 201115 yr I don't know if I've mentioned this already, but there's an excellent Canadian slacker show called Trailer Park Boys which I recommend that everyone checks out. It gets steadily more ridiculous as the seasons go on, and there are also two films plus a few other off-shoot longer works. All the episodes are on Youtube, here's the first one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2mH2ZL1A8o
January 24, 201115 yr Just bumping this thread for the lovers of the US tv shows out there. I recommend Fringe to anyone at the moment it is absolutley brilliant! Season 3 is defaintly picking up with the latest episode. Fringe is exceptionally good, and it just gets better and better. Not seen the latest episode yet, but it's guaranteed to be awesome. For the UK tv show fans, I very very very highly recommend Being Human. Series 3 started yesterday, and it's seriously brilliant. It's scary, funny, emotional, everything you want from a program. It's incredibly good,

Dexter Season 4 has to go down as one of the all time great tv seasons. Up there with the first 3 seasons of The Wire , The Sopranos and the first season of Twin Peaks (well, almost). It came out of nowhere too, Seasons 2 and 3 were pretty average so i wasnt expecting season 4 to be so awesome. Lithgow was stunning, utterly brilliant. Sadly Season 5 was a bit of a let down. February 6, 201115 yr I read in a newspaper last week that Dallas is going to be remade with Larry Hagman now 65, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy. You are joking, right?
February 11, 201115 yr Not a cult series, but I don't want to start a new thread for this. Watch the first 5 minutes of this week's episode of Hustle http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/yl490/ well, three minutes really.. Edited February 11, 201115 yr by moi
March 14, 201115 yr As a young lad growing up in the seventies the show i looked forward to most was the Dukes of hazard on a saturday evening. The site of cousin daisy duke in her cut-off jeans was strangly sturring, allthough i couldn't quite work out why,(i was still young),but the best bit always featured the general lee,(the car),flying through the air at some amazing height.I would watch open mouthed at the car jumps, wolf down my tea, then rush out on my second hand chopper to the local stream and try and re-create the t.v action. And it always, always ended the same way......me in a crumpled heap, cuts & bruises, rips in my flaires and another battering for my 'nads on the handlebars,(no wonder it took a while for daisy's charms to sink in).But even though the show stunted my development, i still think it was one of the best shows of the 1970's...........yeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaa!!.
March 15, 201115 yr Talking of the Fall guy dkw,how about that other Lee Majors classic......The six million dollar man,i couldn't wait to do the moves in slow motion with the 'bionic' sound effect,(probably explains why the only thing i pulled in school was my righthand wrist tendons).Mind you, what with inflation,he wouldn't even get a bionic knob for six million qiud nowdays.
March 15, 201115 yr My folks would watch The fall & rise of reginald perrin which if i'm honest went way over my head at the time, but the one part which sticks with me today,is the bit when ever his missus mentioned the mother-in-law, a hippo runs across the screen!,fantastic that, and when my other half talks about her mum......................................(sorry marg).

Classic programme that, even had the action figure of the Bionic man. And I used to do the slow motion run with he noise too.....
