TheWestwayWonder
He has scored a couple of important goals in the last few weeks, and on sunday he generally looked like one of the livelier players out there. I have slated him many times on here, sometimes unfairly so, but have any opinions changed on him, especially now that it seems we are headed for a clearout in the summer? Or is he still just not good enough? I used to give Malouda a hard time too, and he has made me eat my words since Hiddink's arrival. I wonder if a similar breakthrough is just around the corner for "Sala"
Phillip
No, No, No, No, No, No, No. He just cannot score goals, and that is how a striker is rated.
german-blue
What about his PL record this year? 0 goals in like 19 matches....
Wolfy
Its been a few years now and their doesn't seem to have been any improvement. I think we should let him go
Ben
Always looked as him as a squad player only.
chelseabootboy
:D sh*t first touch can not score goals he hasn't improved since we got him if we can get 7 mill for him in the summer he can pack his bags.....
Guest
Unlike most, my opinions don't change based on one or two games. I think Kalou gets too much of a bum ride but is still someone we should look to move on in the summer.
g3.7
no. and the quality of his recent performances have been greatly exaggerated. on sunday his biggest contribution was to miss a free header from about 7 yards out.
Chippy
Yep..he changed his mind, he was gonna shave his whole head.
bjd
He's been ok these past few games but it's hard to tell if he actually has been good or if he only appears to be good because so many others have been so poor. Along with mikel and the dads army crew he should be on the list of the players we need to be ruthless with this summer. He just isn't good enough, never has been and never will be. loz
Kalou has had a little run where he has looked livelier but it is still nowhere near the standard we are looking for and I would let him go in the summer. He is neither a striker, a winger or a midfielder - to be honest I don't think he has a best position but unfortunately is not good enough to be a utility player. goose
Kalou is so much the nearly good player. Not a bad touch, good pace, fast feet, good dribbling skills however that is were it ends. Terrible vision, poor decision maker and woeful finisher. IMO we've already kept him at least 1 year longer than we should and he would be near top of the list for a clear out, just behind Deco. Andreas
I like the lad, but just doesnt cut it, agree with goose. Have potential to become a very good footballer, but his vision and understanding of the game just isnt there yet at this level. Power-sub perhaps? Ruh Buh Juh
Yes. He's one of the few that actually try on the pitch nowadays.
bluevale2
No. He's a nice lad but he is just not good enough.
L Essien
Kakuta is as good as Kalou right now, if not better, so, Kalou has to go to make room to the youngsters. WE need to get some cash for him. Wish him good luck and thank him for his time at Chelsea FC.
Essien's Strike
i like kalou and im 100% sure that if he was played as a second centre forward he would look a much better player. its all 4-5-1's and 4-3-3's these days but stick sally in a good old 4-4-2 with Drogba in front of him and watch him shine. My biggest CFC gripe is this god DAMN playing strikers as wide forwards!! i hate the sight of it.
BlueGigg31
I would sell him because as a forward playing on the wing or central he does not score enough, but knowing our luck he will come back and haunt us by scoring for some two bob outfit like arsescum
MHL_blue
Agree with most here. Yes, he's a nice bloke, but as far as being a top-class player he's nowhere near it. He's got pace, but lacks vision and his finishing skills are on par with my 80 year old grandmother.. Should've let him go to Arsenal last year.. youlots
Still kalouless after all these years, he's a godboy & he professes his love for Le Arse. Three strikes and all that sometime (at least a year) ago. The fact that he's shown a bit more energy in recent games (but again for no real output) relative to our penshioners on the park is irrelevant and (another) false dawn as far as this player is concerned. Zola
Top fella, rarely complains, but sadly not strong or good enough for our ambitions.
dkw
ive definitely changed my mind about him. before the start of this season i knew he wasnt good enough for us, now i totally know hes not good enough.
Tim
Like the guy, but just not quite good enough. Moments of quality, but largely makes the wrong decision/fails to convert the chances he should. His place in the squad/on the bench, along with a few others', should be occupied by one of our many exciting young players.
