Watch the Bolton game again, did you see the one-on-one with the Bolton keeper ? Compare that 2 exactly the same situation with Messi against Le Arse the other week, when he dinked it over almunia.

No way will he score 20 goals, even if Frank handed over the penalties to him, even if he had 1'000 goal scoring chances per/season.

I'm not saying Kalou would be a 20+ goals per season striker, but what do arseholes have to do with scoring goals? ::clap2::

Thats the first and probably last time he'll ever be compared with Messi.

20 goals? For that he needs to have at least 400 chances. Given that, on an average, we create 10-12 chances per game he would have to play 40+ games in a season, getting at the end of each and every chance we create to have a shot(pun not intended).

I say thats quite improbable.

No, Kalou isn't good enough to start more games. In fact, I'm not sure that he's good enough to come on even. I bet we can find another player to have as substitute and probably score more goals. Let's buy Messi as a substitute if we need some speed late in the game.

I am sure I can provide a bit of speed late on. I'd cost an enormous lot less than Kalou and would probably have a better strike rate than that if used properly! Ok maybe not.

If you are going to use stats at least use complete stats. The figures you are using are just for the PL and he hasn't started 20 games, he has started 8 with 12 subs appearances. Overall he has played 33 games (including 16 as sub) and scored 8 goals, but just 1 in the league. Contrast that with Joey who has played 34 games (including 13 as sub) and scored 2 goals.

He scored 24 goals in 38 games for Feyenoord in 04-05.

So would he scored 20 for Chelsea if he played more regularly? Not a cat in hell's chance. :greysweat: (But he's not as bad as some might make out)

As for the question, Kalou would not have scored 20 goals this season, he will not score 20 goals in any season for any club.

Sure he would have 20 goals!

Goal 1: Learn to shoot in the box

Goal 2: Learn to control ball

Goal 3: Learn that mohawks are not a good haircut

Goal 4: Learn new goal celebration that doesnt look like Im waving a nasty smell away from my nose

Goal 5: Score more goals than OG on Man U

Goal 6: Put in consistant performances worthy of a Chelsea contract extensions

etc etc

The only problem is that I dont think he has met any of his goals!
