The first 11 picks itself doesn't it?

Hard to see any changes from the first eleven that started against Liverpool and Wigan - in fact it could well be the same 18 that were selected against Wigan.

I was never worried about complacency against Wigan however I have a slight concern about it against Pompey and the Pompey players are going to be desperate to go out with a bang before they start to scrap around for transfer deals.

Hopefully the idea of being the first ever Chelsea team to get a league and cup double will insure against complacency and we put on a real show.

I also hope Joe gets a decent amount of playing time. If it is to be his last performance in a Chelsea shirt then I hope it is more than a token 10 minute run out at the end. However the result is the first priority so he should only be brought on if it is felt he is needed or the game is safe.

In the same vein as Joey, I'd also like to see Yuri get some action, I thought he was a great player for us the 2nd half of the season and it'd be nice to have him on the field for a cup final and have him put in another solid performance to hopefully help limit the amount of "Barca / CSKA / Inter are interested in Chelsea flop Zhirkov" threads this summer.

I agree about Joe, if the game is tight i dont want him brought on for the sake of it. Kalou has earnt his starting place on merit, he has been fantastic this past month (i never , ever though i would type such words). He currently is bringing a level of play to the team we havent seen from Joe in what seems like an eternity.

Im all for seeing Joe bow out with a run in the first XI , but im more interested in the double than i am in sentiment.

I think Pompey will cause us a few problems at the back as they have some quick forwards. However their defence will be there to be got at and if Drogba is up for it (how could he not be?!) we could cause them all manner of problems. Im sensing another great game for Lamps too.

Finally, this week we should all really should stop to think how lucky we are and how times have changed.

Sixteen years ago I remember running onto the pitch at SB giddy with delirium that we had just beaten Wolves in a quarter final.

And now ? A third cup final in four years and a fifth in ten. Blimey. The double , 90 mins away. Bring it on.

Those of you lucky enough to have a ticket, please savor it and and spare a thought for those of us who havent. Oh and sing your hearts out too - Pompey will be LOUD.

Ill be in Chelsea, (venue tbc) , the second best place to be on Saturday and i will lap up the atmosphere which as always will be terrific , but not for one second will i take it, or will ever take a Cup Final for granted.

My guess 3-0

I can't see us losing this with the charge from winning the league and the prospect of making club history. But if we had to lose to anyone this season I'd take Pompy, they really need a break. Hope they sort their problems out and come back to the premiership, I always liked them.

As for the game, can't see passed 3-0 to us, maybe more. I really expected to see Spurs in the final, which would have me more worried.

I felt the same way about the Wigan game but was afraid to say it. I'll say it now...I don't see how we lose this match. I'm sure Pompey will be motivated - whatever. They are probably the worst team in the Primer League despite all their heart and effort. Of course anything can happen but a loss would really be inexcusable.

And yes, the team picks itself. Do you think Carlo even bothers to post it for the players before the match?

After 2 long weeks of nervous tension , along it comes again. Already starting to feel the nerves because i want this double to become a reality.

In all the years im supporting Chelsea i never thought i'd be counting down to this , making history and living the Chelsea dream .

It's going to be a fantastic day out. I can go there without nerves now we have won the league. Of course I want us to do the double but it won't be the end of the world for me if we don't. Having said that, if we play anything like then I can't see us not winning comfortably.

We will and should play the first team. Sentiment can come later if and when we have the game in the bag.

I finally feel at ease with this season...the moment the title was clinched, I was able to breathe easily.

Now, I don't expect us to walk away with this one too easily, but I'm safe in the knowledge, that if all goes wrong, and we somehow lose to Pompey...we have still got the EPL title delivered.

But let's try and get this historic double.

Pompey obviously wants to go down with style but we want to make history and also defend the FA Cup and just coming from winning the EPL the boys will be in good mood.

One ball, two goals and anything could happen but I see us winning it. 4-0 to us. COME ON CHELSEA!

Grant will have a point to prove so I think there will be a lot more fight and spirit in the Pompey side than Wigan. I expect a tough battle but our quality should see us through. Same starting line up please with Joey and Zhirkov coming later on.

As for squad, id keep it the same except maybe swap Malouda for Zhirkov. Definitely nothing against Malouda, just would like to see Zhirkov getting some playing time before season finishes.

So IF we win the FA Cup in 2010 it would be for the double/double huh, not the one that Canadians know. But we'd win the League and FA Cup double, and also the FA Cup and FA Youth Cup double. More to play for lads, let's get er done!!

I think Carlo will keep the same starting line up as for the last few games. It would be hard to change it really. But I would like to see Joe Cole on in place for the much improved Kalou.

I thought Joe played so well when he came on against Wigan and he contributed to two of the goals. He showed tremendous, hunger, strength and skill to win that ball and set up Ashley for that eighth. I hope this is not his last game for Chelsea and they can sort out a new contract. He has just been drafted into Capello's 30 man squad for the World Cup but whether he makes the final squad is another matter.

We are lucky to have options in our squad with Zhirkov another who deserves a mention. I cannot see any other result apart from a Chelsea victory. We just have far too much quality. We also now have the confidence to go out and produce breathtaking, attacking, WINNING football. I'm sure we will be mentally prepared and up for winning an historic double, something I thought I would never see in my lifetime.

Same team as Wigan please Carlo, no time for sentimentality the double is on the line, injuries if any excepted of course. Cant see Pompey causing an upset, however this is the cup final and sometimes all bets are off. Avram has had them playing some good footy in their cup run, especially in the derby cup tie vs Soton, they can as mentioned above be very fast on the counter and have some very useful goalscorers. JT, Alex and Ballack will need to be on their toes for counters, one of Ashley Cole or Ivan will have hold back at times as extra cover.

Think Chelsea's expereince of more big games at Wembley and before Cardiff these last few seasons will stand the team in good stead, most of Pompey's cup winners are now at Spuds. Has Avram got the bottle to inspire his team to cause an upset ? Based upon what we saw with him here 3 yeras ago - NO. I dont see a goal fest like last Sunday but predict there will be 2 cups atop the bus come the parade this coming Sunday.

WHEN JT GOES UP TO LIFT THE FA CUP..........

Can't see big changes in the starting eleven although Joe might get on a bit earlier which hopefully will help Capello make his mind up to put him in the final squad.

Got a lot of respect for Avram for what he done here and the way he has got some plucky performances out of a Portsmouth team that must have been really hard to motivate.

I hope its a good days football without any bad decisions or sending offs and would fancy us to pull away from their gutsy attempt in the second half...3-1 for me.

As long as the players aren't still hangover on the day, we should win the match. No dobut Portsmouth will be up for it, just don't believe they have enough firepower to trouble us. Same 11 again, why change it when it isn't broken.
