Not sure I can see a January striker signing personally, I think we'll wait until the summer when Eto'o is out of contract and Lukaku can be fully assessed on how he has performed for Everton over the course of the season.

Torres and Eto'o both look to be finally hitting some form.  Jose seems to be working his magic on them, so I don't see a need to upset the cart in January.  We can sort out our striker situation in the summer.  If Lewandowski's move to Bayern really has hit a snag and he's considering other options, we should be sweet talking him for the summer and holding the other spot for Lukaku.  

 

I'd love some reinforcements in central midfield though.

Fairly sure he produced his passport and it was confirm he is 27.

Should have moved for him in the summer but he has signed a new contract with PSG now worth around €55m I believe.

I read this story this morning. It did make me laugh. Jose must be going to watch Falcao. Nothing to do with Jose having a number of Belgium player in the Chelsea team and out on loan. My god, people will believe anything.

Amazing player (probably better than Gotze in fact as far as young AMs go) but the only way I see him coming here is if we sell one of our midfielders. If Mourinho doesn't have any plans for Mata long-term (which he hopefully does provided he tracks back) then I could see him going for Draxler, who fits his idea of playing better, I believe. Really don't want Mata to go though -- needs to stay unless PSG come with some really high offer like 50m (not sure what was listed as the rumour but it was high)

Regarding Matic haven't they just spent a bomb on Illarramendi? Similar players who both need, imo, a powerful cm next to them. So if Matic went to Chelsea him and Ramires would be a brilliant pairing. But playing Matic and Illarramendi would be like playing Mikel and Lampard brilliant passing and good possession but just overrun in a midfield 2 which they would surely play with Bale, Ronaldo and Isco as their ams with Di Maria as backup. Think Gundogan would be perfect for them or Witsel. So they have 2 good passers in the 2 but a solid fast runner being 1 of them feeding the 3 ams.

FFP is meant to stop new clubs from spending big all of a sudden not established clubs like R.Madrid. No way UEFA would get so many clubs to agree with such a deal, and if they did do such a thing the bug clubs would break away and form their own European Super League....
