December 15, 201411 yr quality pitch lol lol remember the state of it against norwich few days earlier like a swimming pool
December 15, 201411 yr oh that norwich game was unreal mate. if the old memory serves me right, we were on the verge of an uefa cup place, and had to play on a swimming pool in a monsoon! Shame as i would have loved to have played in europe with our nutty support at that time. Mind you the scousers murdered a load of italians so it was irrelevant anyway.

Yes, we were on the verge of a UEFA place. I remember a sense of anticipation at the Bridge about being able to qualify for Europe and then Norwich beat us. A lot of disappointment at the end of the game. As you say, irrelevant in the end because of what happened at Heysel.
December 16, 201411 yr Ossie against City. Fifty years ago today he scored on his debut against Workington.
December 16, 201411 yr yeah, going to battersea park from pimlico you get about half way over the bridge and you could see both sets of lights Never noticed that, I must have crossed Chelsea bridge a gazillion times on my way to and from work in the 70s and 80s and never even looked.
December 16, 201411 yr Wolves 0 Chelsea 1 Aug 78. About 3,000 Chelsea on the South Bank desite this being a night game. I couldnt beleive it when the gate man opened up and hundreds of Chelsea steamed out, lots of second wave skinheads amonst them, straight down to the North Bank where the Wolves fans were well and truly took by surprise so legged it onto the pitch. From what i can see in the picture thats Chelsea in the North Bank looking down on its previous occupants. Apologies for quality this is a very old newspaper cutting ( 36years!!).
