April 14, 201610 yr great picture of the wee man...Chelsea through and through...key player in our promotion season ...remember him scoring one in last minute at hull to get us a 1.1...r.i.p...ian britton
April 14, 201610 yr Yeh great old photos, I wish I knew how to attach a photo to posts, as I've got quite a lot of old stuff of interest. However I was at Choppers testimonial against Rangers, and remember seeing thousands of drunk jocks in attendance at the Bridge that night. There were a lot more people in the ground than the official figure declared.......probably dodgy turnstile gate men and for tax reasons LOL
April 14, 201610 yr Great picture of the Rangers News, CB. Will send it to 'Gers fans I know. Some of them may have been at the game.

Loved the relationship around the two games to raise money for Bradford. Remember arriving on the terrace at Anfield and already 1000+ Gers fans already there!!! Then the police put a line between us thinking we didn't get on!! That season 85/86 Rangers were at a few of our away games. I really enjoyed our game at Ibrox (Feb 86 I think) was a great evening, even with a floodlight failure on one side of the ground the game carried with rangers winning 3-2

Think the crowd was about 10,000. Was also at the game at Anfield. Couldn't believe it when I walked in and saw all the 'Gers fans. There were no top flight games in Scotland that weekend as Scotland were playing an international. Game was 1-1. I think Keith Jones scored our goal. I remember at half-time a Liverpool fan wearing a half-and-half hat with Liverpool and Celtic on it walking in front of the away fans. He got loads of abuse from the Chelsea and Rangers fans.
April 14, 201610 yr Author How's this for an away kit, Chelsea lead by Chopper Harris at West Ham 66/67 won 2.1
April 14, 201610 yr CB: Chopper Harris looks like he's wearing an England strip with that away strip !
April 14, 201610 yr I was in W.H. Smiths today there's a mag called Blue is the Colour it costs a tenner. Basically a history of the club has some really good old photos. I would upload them but it's not really my forte so I'll leave that to someone who's more capable then me. There's a photo of Ron Harris, Venables, Hollins and George Graham all in sharp suits looking cool. When you think a few years later there's this monstrosity how fashion changed and of course a couple of years after this you had punk.
April 15, 201610 yr Best shirt we've ever had IMHO I still have it albeit it is a little small on me now..... But yes best ever (84-85 home up there as well)

April 15, 201610 yr Richard: Yeah that game was on a Friday night in Feb 1986. I was 18 and went up in a minibus. Left Bromley 7:30am and after a few pickups left London with snow starting to settle on the M1. Arrived at the ground 45 minutes before ko!! What a journey.

Hutch, Hudson, Kember & Garner and less than a ten minute walk from the Chelsea Drugstore & Chelsea Potter. I wonder what happened after the photoshoot!!
April 15, 201610 yr Hutch, Hudson, Kember & Garner and less than a ten minute walk from the Chelsea Drugstore & Chelsea Potter. I wonder what happened after the photoshoot!! Ian Hutchinson got pissed and fell over his Lionel Blairs ?. Alan Hudson is dressed like a Play School presenter.
April 15, 201610 yr Found this photo of the game at Ibrox. it was below freezing the whole night, yet I can't see a glove in sight apart from Eddie Neddi!
April 16, 201610 yr RichardP:Yeah not a pair of gloves (bar the goalies) nor any coloured boots apart from the standard black ones on the players back then.
April 16, 201610 yr When the silly bollox used to take out my laces id learned to have a spare set down the pants...stupid cops
April 16, 201610 yr Author Everything that is wrong with modern day football, muggy pricks stood on a street singing & filming behind old bill lines, they've probably watched sh*t films like Green Street, bought a Stone Island jacket & think their now part of the firm, pathetic. Why not go off the main drag where plenty of Chelsea were willing & waiting to get their hands dirty, its quite clear obviously why, because the pricks wouldnt know an off it came over & hit them on the head.
April 16, 201610 yr Got to say I didn't know this footage existed it's the first time I've ever seen it.

You're not wrong CB. I'll bet this trumpet wasn't around at the League Cup replay when plenty of Chelsea were in there below the Shelf when Townsend scored and it all went off. A makeshift Police line went in pretty sharpish that night.
