My dad was at that game. He was 12 at the time, and lived in the world's end, in one of the houses that wasn't directly hit in the blitz. He used to tell me how the kids were passed over people's heads to the front, and he sat on the touch line.

The Official Programme from 3rd Jan 1914 is a cracking photo.

Interesting to know when the grass area got smaller behind the Shed. I know the team used to train behind the goal on a Friday before a home game late 70s into the 80s. But when you see on TV the greyhound track was there. Was there another section of grass up to the terrace?
