@Richard P Picture above reminds me of when I had a ST in the old West Stand. After the last home game of the season 96-97 when the West Stand closed down fans were trying to remove seats. I'm not sure how many were removed but a few weeks later I had to visit the ground and there were a load of the seats outside the old West Stand and being made ready to be sold. If I remember correctly a seat was sold for £300.

The company who demolished the stand took the seats and cleaned them up, repainted them and sold them as single double or triple seats. Bates wasn't too happy as I don't think he thought of it!!

Thanks Richard. Hadn't realised about a company cleaning and repainting them. As you say, Ken wouldn't have been too happy.

Great header from Pat. Was standing about halfway back behind the goal and had a great view of his goal. Fine cross from Kerry. So often the other way round. Nevin crossing for Dixon and Speedie.

A special man we lost way too soon.

I know that this picture has been posted before but worth posting again. Such a great moment in our history.

If im right the first door was the ticket office.

Remember walking in right hand door and walk along the counter and out the other door!! Chelsea Mega store!! Got my first replica kit 77-78 Umbro home kit. Don't think they had been selling them before that season. If anyone missed it, the documentary on tv about Admiral sports wear was really good. Can't believe how they stumbled on some of their contracts! Really good walk down memory lane.

Last Sunday reminded me of two things. The obvious one being the 20th anniversary of Matthew Harding's death and the memories of 1999 when we defeated Manchester United 5-0.

          Seeing Jody Morris setting a row behind our bench I did have the thought that if we scored a 5th  maybe Jody would stand up and blow his horn again. That would have been epic.
