A bit off subject but in the pub before the game yesterday we were talking about the kick by Mane on the City goalie and comparing that to Eddie kicking Bremner in the Replay. Back in 1970 the ref had a quick look at Bremner and told the players to play on. How times have changed. A few years back before a game at Wembley we were in a club near the stadium - about three hundred Chelsea fans in the club - and Tommy Baldwin was there. The fans sang Tommy's song. A big smile on his face.

It does look like a Leeds scarf but he must have just run out of the Stretford End which was packed with Chelsea. He looks like a bit of a skinhead so maybe he nicked it of a Leeds fan and kept it as a trophy. Or maybe his big brother did. Fabulous photograph.
September 13, 20178 yr He was and is most definately a Chelsea fan, Billy matthews I think his name is. Didnt we also have a similar coloured scarf back in the day for the blue kit with yellow stripe and yellow socks? Edited September 13, 20178 yr by fillerywhereru

I will second that ersk, one of the few times we could give it back to those Herbert's back then, can still remember it now, me and some mates had arranged to meet at my house to go down park to play football, as we were getting on our bikes, a huge shout came from our bathroom window where my old man was decorating the bathroom, 1-0 Rhodes brown, we all went off to park, Liverpool supporting mates as well, no way of keeping up with score as we had no radio, as we arrived back at our house at 5pm, me fearing we had lost and mates convinced we would, my old man came jigging out the side gate 2-0! I turned to my mates who were already scuttling away on their bikes, i gave them an escort all the way home taking piss!! Didn't see em again until Monday morning!
