I just couldnt get into Far cry 3. It looks great and there isnt anything really wrong with it but I just wasnt hooked by it.

What's Far Cry 3 like? My friend raves about it but I've never played it.

 

Best game on 'last gen' IMO.

So, finished Assassin's Creed Black Flag today, what a fantastic game.

 

Will acquire AC Unity in the coming days, from the 18th Century Caribbean to the French Revolution, I cannot fathom what may lie ahead next.

Look at the video + images a few pages back to start with. That's not all of the problems either. 

 

If you have a PS3/360 get Rogue. Wonderful game & only seen one glitch.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm still getting Unity, Black Flag was way too good of a game for me not to try Unity, and if it's that bad, I'm sure there'll be patches out anytime soon.

Rogue fills the gaps between Unity and 3, but if you don't have a prev gen console then fair enough. I don't think full patches will come out for a bit, though!

I think the obvious failing of AC was obvious, it made the BBC pages lol. It's all over the place...it's unplayable for me. Looks worse than last gen in places too.

Moving on though...GTA V PS4!

Switching from 3rd to 1st person is seamless just a touch on the left of the touch pad on control and that's it!

I've just done the first mission ain 1st person! The driving is insane! Shooting feels much improved in this view too.

Wait till you see the rain at night...this is what Watchdogs should have been!

WWE2K15 next gen reviews are now coming in and it’s not looking good.

6.5’s and 7’s seem to be as high as it’s getting.

Seems loads have been left out compared to last years, no create arena, belts, ect. Fewer match types and wrestlers. Pretty bare and compared to UFC for content.

Bloody hell.. you make me wonder if I should get GTA V prior to Unity..

They are trying to fix unity through patches, no idea if it will make it play better.

Do you have xbox one? You can buy it online.

I do but I tend to find that the Xbox store prices are over-inflated.

 

Anyway, I caved in and bought it.

I'd buy it online you'd save £15 odd if you look hard enough

You can buy gift cards for live but they aren't great discounts, usually about a fiver off.

Early impressions of Far Cry 4 are good. 

 

Graphics look great and it controls nicely too. 

 

Nothing much different play wise from FC3 after a couple hours of game play except for a grapple hook which can be used to climb cliffs in certain locations. 

 

The story already doesn't make much sense... Straight away despite "not being a soldier" you pick up assault rifles and fend of waves of attacks and immediately feel confident and comfortable about confronting hostage situations and liberating outposts.... but that's just a minor annoyance and the game itself is a lot of fun so far. 

 

Planning on putting in a few hours over the weekend has I've got some time booked off work.
