Does anyone have any experience of trading games in at Game using the price-match promise? CEX's website is offering more than Game's but I would like to trade in at Game to use the credit for a new, not used game. 

 

Would taking in a print screen of CEX's offers be enough? I've heard some people say you don't need to bring anything and they do it themselves, and others say they are very strict and need official proof of an offer from a store within a one-mile radius.

It's been eight years since the last Sensible Soccer game hit the Xbox 360, but with Codemasters still holding on to the licence, Hare's decided it's about time for a reboot: Sociable Soccer.

Social Soccer swaps the gorgeous player renders and 3D animations you'd find in FIFA 16 or Pro Evolution Soccer for a birds-eye view and tiny little stickmen. It's designed to mimic the fast-paced action of its predecessor, complete with humorous slide tackles and ballooning long balls, but will be given modern features like online multiplayer, customisable player avatars and clan-based online leagues. It'll also be cross-platform, allowing you to take on your mates on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

However, like many modern reboots, the developers need money to make it happen. Hare and his Finnish development team (who have worked on Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break in the past) have taken to Kickstarter to raise development funds, setting a lofty target of £300,000. However, given that Hare had a £1 million budget to development Sensible Soccer 98 on PC only, the target doesn't seem quite so high. Should Sociable Soccer reach its goal, Hare aims to release the game on all three platforms by the end of 2016, joining the reboot of another Amiga footballing classic: Dino Dini's Kick Off."

Loved Sensible Soccer back in the day. What a game.

Bought need for speed this week. Handling is a bit of an acquired taste but not too bad.

I wonder why no other football game back then used that same ball "control" technique. Maybe it was too difficult to learn.

I want a new Lemmings also, that was excellent on the Amiga, bloody good soundtrack also!

I wonder why they can't/won't do the whole ball control thin on Ps4. It would make FIFA harder.

Need some advice with MGS. I've just done mission 42, the extreme archica one. Read through the rest of the missions, they seem like repeats. I want to finish it and get another game but I've been disappointed with the 2nd chapter - lots of repeated missions and annoying missions. Mission 50 is just repeat of it previously, beating Sulthrelpous.

And trying to unlock mission 43 seems to be difficult?

Any advice?

I've downloaded the Battlefront trial from EA Access. It gives me 10 hours and it's pretty good so far. No single player campaign is a bit crap but multiplayer and coop are fun. I'm not sure if it's worth £40 though - the content does seem a bit bare.

If someone made a massive, open-world game, in the Skyrim/Fallout style, of Pokemon. I would buy the sh*t out of that game.

I guess they don't want to make it too hard because they would lose the more casual players. And I guess they'd have to do a complete overhaul of their game engine to do that and I guess they wouldn't want to spend all the money and effort AND then risk alienating many of the franchise's fans.

That's because it is bare and they are going to charge you another £40 for content which should have been in the game from the start.

Yep. Can't see it being worth buying the full game. I'll get it when the price drops after Christmas though. Or just wait until it comes onto EA Access in a year.

I'll be getting Just Cause. Not Rainbow Six Siege but Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands looks really good - coming out next year. Never played a Tom Clancy game but this looks awesome.

 

I played the Rainbow Six beta.
