October 22, 201510 yr New Assassin's Creed is getting really mixed reviews. Positive reviews are saying it's much improved on recent efforts whereas the more critical are saying it's glitchy with clunky feeling controls and boring, repetitive combat. I'm just waiting for Fallout at this point but will definitely be giving this game a swerve. I'm just about to get my Platinum trophy for Uncharted 2 and will work on getting the same for Uncharted 3 over the next week or so... I'll play some Goat Simulator or whatever to tide me over until November 10th.
October 22, 201510 yr What are some good co-op games to play with friends online? (PC) What game genres do you guys prefer?

I was sort of looking forward to this as I immensely enjoyed AC Black Flag and I think it's cool that it's set in London - exploring streets I have know well will be fun as well as the fact that it has historical characters in it that I have learned about being a history buff. It also apparently puts the "lore" of AC on the back foot, something I would appreciate as I don't enjoy it or care about it. I just want to play. I don't think I'll get it within 6 months of launch though, purely because with Fallout 4, Battlefront and Far Cry coming out in the next few months I won't have the time or money to justify buying it for £40. Maybe next year when the price drops if there aren't many games coming out early-mid 2016. Edited October 22, 201510 yr by RichardCFC
October 22, 201510 yr That's all assassins creed is for me now. Wait till it gets below 20 quid then dip in and out of it as a mildly fun time killer.
October 22, 201510 yr What game genres do you guys prefer? Usually things like Dota or League of Legends, but I;m getting really bored of those sorts of games. I like TF2 and L4D2, but they're quite old now. Might buy Killing Floor 2

Might buy Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2 is really good, had tons of fun with it. There are some network issues though. If you prefer shooter games then I would recommend games like Counter Strike GO, Payday 2, Borderlands 2, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. Unreal Tournament 3 and Serious Sam. There are also more expensive titles like Far Cry 4 and GTA 5. For Dota, LoL kind of games, you may want to try Divinity, Path of Exile and Magicka.
October 23, 201510 yr err yea so this has nothing to do with the game whatsoever would be great walking round central London as Diego and just headbutting everyone to death.
October 24, 201510 yr Anyone play Killing Floor 2 on the PC? Or anyone want to? I've got 1 gift of it left in my Steam library

October 24, 201510 yr This is my steam user if you want to add me. A few of us just bought it, so we'll probably be playing in the evenings in the coming days/weeks. https://steamcommunity.com/id/BlueEyedTiger
October 26, 201510 yr Is it good? I'm torn about buying it. Didn't enjoy Unity at all it's ok - visually it is very very impressive. Gameplay is as you would expect it to be. One thing that annoys me a bit is all the NPC enemies look identical. only a small moan but takes away the impressiveness of it slightly.
October 26, 201510 yr I have it but tbh it's pretty boring and repetitive. It's cool it's set in old London and all that but it's just more of the same with a new background really. I wish they would take a few years and do something different with AC.
October 26, 201510 yr Finished all three Uncharted games now, going to pick up something to tide me over until Fallout 4.
October 27, 201510 yr Jonesy, Chelsbear, thanks. It's what I feared, then. I really want to get it so I can run around the streets of old London, a city I know well. But it looks the same old, same old. Black Flag and Assassins Creed II still the best games they ever did
October 27, 201510 yr Traded in Uncharted, briefly glanced at Assassin's Creed but knew that I wouldn't enjoy it so didn't bother. Ended up picking up a copy of Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin Played Dark Souls II on PS3 but didn't spend a huge amount of time with it. The PS4 version includes all the DLC they released for the game which a friend of mine played and said it excellent. They've also tweaked the original game to add additional enemies into the game plus different enemies in locations as well so the game plays very differently to the original version. Only played for about an hour and half yesterday but it feels a lot harder with the the additional enemies. Makes it seem a lot more reliant on summoning other players to help you.
October 27, 201510 yr Interesting reviews coming out for Halo 5. Apparently the campaign is a bit sh*t... Especially if you haven't played any of the previous ones because the story doesn't work as a stand alone. The multiplayer is meant to be excellent however, so I guess it depends on what you're buying it for. Sitting at a very respectful 85/100 on Metacritic right now.

Shame that the story isn't really standalone - I've never played Halo other than 3 online with mates, but this new one looks really good. A campaign makes a game worthwhile as well - most multi-player shooters are very similar. Even though the latest Witcher was a sequel I still found it fine despite it being the first Witcher game I'd played. There are so many great looking games coming out in the next few months that I really want to buy, but I have plenty of unplayed games. I'm not that interested in playing them but I know I shouldn't spend £40 on a new one and forget about them.

If you have no interest in playing the online multiplayer then I suppose you have to ask if your going to get value for money from buying it. I think the trouble with a lot of the reviews is going to be that the people reviewing the games have already played the previous titles and it makes it hard to review a game from such a successful series on its' own merits.
