June 10, 201412 yr I don't know what people were expecting. Writing complex algorithms to hack stuff? That's absurd. It was always going to be one-button stuff for hacking. I think it's a great game and will continue to play it. Didn't mean it like that. Jamming the traffic lights, or road spikes or w/e, just isn't that satisfying. Even when it comes off. Hardly anything to hack either. Just traded it in for £34 store credit.
June 10, 201412 yr E3 is always a let down for me every year. Every year they hype up Shenmue and tease people, then nothing. I need Shenmue 3! While the games look pretty nice I am just fed up of all the same franchises they churn out ever year, Halo, Creed, Mass Effect, COD, Battlefield etc. Nothing felt new, nothing felt like it was next gen. Nothing made me feel like I want to go spend 400 on a console. I guess I am just getting old and lack the interest I once had for gaming. Edited June 10, 201412 yr by Sheva
June 10, 201412 yr The Division looks extremely next gen, could be a very unique experience. The destruction physics on The Rainbow Six reveal were impressive. I'm hyped for the new Batman and Uncharted which both look stunning. I'll probably get the new Assassins Creed as I haven't played one since Brotherhood. CoD and Battlefield didn't interest me at all.
June 10, 201412 yr I agree all of it looked very nice but It was always going to look nice. I think I meant that nothing felt new as in Ideas, The division looks nice but It didn't feel fresh, just felt like Gears of war but more tactical and army based to appeal to the masses. Titanfall felt fresh, It was a new idea. Sunset Overdrive looks kinda cool. I dunno, I am just fussy and very hard to sell too. I just believe we need more titles with new ideas, new franchises to kick start next gen. The consoles were launched with cod, battlefield, fifa etc. They are games which spawn over different generations not generation defining games. I think this is just me moaning though as I've fallen out of love with gaming and looking for a way back in.
June 11, 201412 yr Right no spoilers, im at the bit with the sub. Loving it so far. let me know what you think
June 11, 201412 yr Only a few interesting ones: Witcher 3, I wonder if my pc will run it but I suspect it will be time for an upgrade... Dragon Age 3, which hopefully will resemble the first game more than the second. Mass Effect 4 announced, though god only knows when it will be released. 2016 maye :) And I wonder how the remastered Grim Fandango will turn out.
June 11, 201412 yr Don't give a sh*t about any of those games. Just release Half Life 3 for f**k sake.

Sort of a cross between jet set radio and borderlands, 2 of my favourite games. The halo box set will be good too, great value for all the online maps etc. Forza horizon looked bloody lovely, and the new fable looked a lot more like the original, the last few have been a bit rubbish. Scalebound looks interesting too, a bit devil may cry like. The Indy stuff looks good too. The only ps4 thing that made me jealous is HD grim fandango,I would buy the console just for that one game. Damn you sony
June 11, 201412 yr I think you're all mad, saying there is nothing exciting on the horizon. FarCry 4 looks FANTASTIC, as does Destiny and the new Zelda on the Wii U. And there is the new Star Fox game coming out next year! I'm thrilled.
June 11, 201412 yr Just started my now apparently traditional annual playthrough of Deus Ex. Every time I've played it I've discovered loads of new stuff - hopefully the novelty value can extend to another playthrough!
June 11, 201412 yr GTA V coming to next gen and PC in Autumn! If it allows transfer from PS3 and Xbox, it going to be worth it. The graphics are already amazing so this should be something else.
June 11, 201412 yr The game wasnt very good in the first place. Massively over rated so i dont see why it would be any better on the next gen. The graphics were already ok but its the game play and online that was the massive let down. If its just the same game then whats the point?!
June 11, 201412 yr There just wasnt enought to do online. It was racing mostly. The game would have been better if you could have played the whole game online. Games like Dead Island really show what online gaming should be like. You can play it solo or as a group.
June 11, 201412 yr Have you done a lot of the new missions online, like co-op ones? It gets boring quickly but do think it's an amazing game, and they seem to be keeping fresh with dlc's.
June 11, 201412 yr No, i sold it as soon as i completed the solo game to try and get as much money back as i could.

Games like Dead Island really show what online gaming should be like. You can play it solo or as a group. Why non earth would you want to play the whole thing online? How would that even work? GTA is a single player series, online stuff is just an added bonus.
June 11, 201412 yr Pretty much every mission you did in that game you had two or three players. Those AI players could quite easily be controlled by Humans. It would have made the game so much better. It was set up just begging to be multiplayer but they just didnt do it. Why bother having 3 people on a mission if the other two are always AI.
June 11, 201412 yr That would have taken them about an extra 5 years to develop. Multiplayer is very complex. Having a whole massive story line game multiplayer is insane and pretty much un-workable. Plus it would constantly be ruined by laggy servers, trolls, etc... Edited June 11, 201412 yr by Zeta Orionis
June 11, 201412 yr Dead Island do it just fine. They arent the only ones. Saints row done it also. The online aspect make these game even better. If it took them longer to make GTA because of the online then it would have been worth it. To me everything seemed too rushed with it anyway. They should have taken their time and got it right in the first place.
June 11, 201412 yr Just can't see it working myself. And I wouldn't want to play with a bunch of other people anyway.
