Really is not the brightest kid on the block reading his tweets, some disgraceful stuff hes coming out with.

This is the latest one.

@IFeruz10: Sometimes you just look at an inter-racial couple and can tell the black guy's just in it to obtain a visa!

Now he has protected his account I think as people started to pointing out what an idiot he is, needs someone to straighten the lad up.

That's funny, cos I'm pretty sure he screwed Celtic out of way more than a visa. Boom.

I'll get my coat.

Not just himself, his whole family too

The only difference between Feruz's stupid joke and the stupid jokes that we've all undoubtedly made in our lives is that his was open to public scrutiny because he posted it on twitter. The only issue here is that he needs to be more cognizant of what he writes on social media.

A lot of clubs seem to be sniffing around him...

Sky Sports understands Chelsea are in talks with Islam Feruz about a new deal, with a number of Premier League rivals weighing up moves for the teenager. Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, West Ham and Fulham are all monitoring his contract situation, while West Brom, Crystal Palace, Wigan, Brighton, QPR, Birmingham, Reading, Bolton and Blackpool are all believed to have expressed an interest in taking Feruz on loan.

I could see him going on loan.  West Brom seem to be sniffing at a lot of our players and ex players.  Heard they may be bringing in Kalou

If this business with Izzy Brown gets nasty then I can't see them willing to do any more transfers/loans with us this season.

Keep seeing Feruz in training photos, be interesting to watch where he ends up next season.

I get West Brom's frustration but Brown is in a delicate situation which smaller clubs and ignorant do not seem to appreciate.

The only thing West Brom can offer Brown that Chelsea cannot is game time.  Chelsea offer better wages, yes, but too many people underestimate the value of better training facilities, better healthcare, better support programs and most of all better coaching. At a club like Chelsea, or Arsenal, or Manchester United etc. Brown would have the chance to work with some of the best youth coaches in the business. Not so at West Brom.

In another thread I stated this paradox is one of the key issues with player development in England. The only clubs who offer world-class training and development for young players are also the clubs least able to give young players consistent game time.

This is a very good point, what seems to get overlooked is that yes a player has more chance of progression from a "smaller" club into their first team but by joining a club like our they have access to facilities and coaching of a very high standard and although the young players might not necessarily progress into our first team they will still have a good chance of making it elsewhere.

We have seen players such as Matic, Stoch, Sinclair and Mancienne leave our set up and go on to play in top divisions and getting first team football. Just because they were not integrated into the Chelsea first team doesn't mean it was a failure by our academy.

Interesting.  He's been doing very well for the U21's and is obviously enjoying his time here.  Can't ever see him making it into the first team at Chelsea though, so maybe he's just completing a couple more years before moving on elsewhere.  Maybe we've told him that we'll loan him out next season and he see's that as career progression.

I know rival fans talk a lot about "Evil Chelsea" and "Ruining Young Player's Careers," but you have to realize that not every U21 and U18 player is going to make it into the first team.  But if they go out on loan, get more experience, and end up playing first team footy for another premiership team, or any team in the top flights in Europe, then surely we've helped progress their career?

For example. Ryan Bertrand.  Comes through the academy, gets good training, a few first team appearances, a CL medal, etc.  Then he ends up a first team player at somewhere like Villa....that's a pretty good career to have had.

I can. Feruz is a freak! I can see Boga making our first team/bench as well.

Not living up to the hype is he?

he's very very short. at that height you  need to be absolutely exceptional to make it at the top top level..

Does anyone know what is going on with Feruz?

The official site claims he's still on loan at Blackpool (for whom he played about a quarter of an hour of football, and they are hardly overflowing with quality options), but I found this article which claims he was sent back early, complete with a quote from manager Lee Clark. He is no longer on the Blackpool website and doesn't seem to have made any further appearances for our under-21s. What has he been doing for the past two months?
