Tough to pick, easily could go to Mata for such an impressive debut. However, I've gone with Ramires. Looked the most llively out of the midfield.

Close call. Because no one in particular stood out. But since Mata came on, the game changed on its head so going with Mata. Some nice movement and a debut goal to top it off. Ramires deserves an honorable mention. Hilario was good too apart from the one mistake that cost us the goal.

Ramires if only for making the gut busting run to get the penalty. Mata and Lukaku had impressive debuts ... a few of our players need to look at the effort they put in. Mata had the touches , Lukaku put in a good shift chasing lost causes and making a nuisance of himself.

I went for Bosingwa..he was there all game, he had the first goal, and he forced the error that allowed Mata to capitalize on. Ramires was right there as well...I would of rather voted for those two.

Everyone else fell behind to a distant 5th...not really a 2-4th for me.

in 25 mins (or however long it was) he showed the invention and craft we have been missing for the past year...not getting carried away but he looked very good...just surprised avb took torres off when he was up against 10 men and finally had mata on the pitch to give him the ball

Dito.

Mata did great when he came on but wiothout Ramires, our midfield was non existant.

Loved Mata but went for Ramires too.

I thought Hilario was playing well until the blunder, still not entirely sure who's fault it was.

Definitely Hilario's fault. He came far too far out of his goal for a ball that Terry would have dealt with easily.

I'm not so sure. It's down to Hilario to say if he's the one going for the ball and it would seem that he didn't, which would make it his fault. However, it's not the first time Ivanovic appears not to listen to the keeper. It has happened before I think.

He really shouldnt be going for the ball that far off his line when there are defenders going for it though, it was a stupid ball to try and go for and entirely his fault.

Thought Ramires was our best player for 70 mins, helped by the fact that many of his team mates were average. But went for Mata as he visibly gave everyone a lift when he came on, created a great chance for Torres within minutes, took his goal really well and offered more guile and creativity in his first 20 mins than any other Chelsea player has shown in some time.

Ramires for me, Mata looks like the type of player we've been needing for a few seasons now and offers something different...performance again wasn't good and I think we've been lucky in that we haven't had a very testing start to the season, lets hope the performances get better before we meet the bigger guns.

I thought Hilario played well and would sooner the goal came from a mistake than him getting beaten by a shot as his confidence on shot stopping should still be high, for a keeper whos played so little and is valued so lowly by most fans I still think he does a decent Job.

Also here goal won me £55 as I had a fiver on 3-1.

Ramires for me too. Absolutely superb today. As loz said, our hopeful signing of Modric is looking more and more vital given Lamps' pretty woeful start to the season.

My fear is that even if we do sign modric it wont be lampard wholl be losing game time

I voted for Mata. It's not just a vote because he's new and didn't suck, but simply because he came on an instantly made the play brighter. He passed well, had a couple of superb crosses, and just his movement on and off the ball was something the team has clearly lacked recently.

Ramires on the counter was sensational. A few slip ups on some passes, but mostly solid.

Bosingwa's goal was a cracker, and had a solid game thereafter.

Lukaku was also bright, no where near the best, but he certainly looked more likely than Torres and Drogba...though that may have been down to being on with Mata, and also, playing against a 10-man Norwich team, which was probably getting tired.
