What are your reasons for it?

I've personally chosen Manchester United due to the household that I live in as my dad is a Liverpool fan therefore due to there rivalry it's kind of rubbed off on me. Also our loss in Moscow possibly made me dislike them more and there fans are usually just arrogant twats.

United. Living in California, I deal with far more of their fans than any other team. And a lot of them are super annoying, and really don't know know what they're talking about at all.

I don't really dislike any team, I don't really see the point in it. However there are certain sets of fans that I hate, such as Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle. They all seem to think that they're owed something by the football gods, rather than having to earn it. For this reason, and the fact that I have an extreme dislike for Jamie Carragher, I went for Liverpool on the Poll. But Leeds and Newcastle come close.

I'm a Liverpool fan and i've always wanted to know this, I have no chelsea fans as mates and I frequently browse this forum cos I like to know what opposition fans are saying, even if it is a little flawed, so, what is Chelseas biggest and fiercest rivalry?

A few years ago when I didn't follow football too much I always thought it would naturally be Arsenal because I always grouped Liverpool/United together (North) Arsenal and Chelsea (London) but things have changed now, so what do you reckon? I didn't think Tottenham were successful enough to be Chelseas main rival.

It depends what you mean by rival. If you are talking about success as you mention in regard to Spurs then that is obviously a moving target as it depends on the level we are competing with at any point in time. However that is the same for all clubs. If you are talking more about historic rivalry regardless of league status and position then the club it gives me most pleasure beating is Tottenham.

That's true tbh, like right now you're probably biggest rivals with Arsenal as you both have the same aim. Maybe Spurs, if they further capitulate which I doubt though. Past two games have been horrid for them! But they've gotten past a difficult run of games and stay 3rd so I guess they stay put this season lol!

Tottenham

West Ham

Arsenal

Milwall

Simple As.

Leeds and in recent years Liverpool could be added to that list, nobody else is even worth a serious mention.

It annoys me when people say United and City are our rivals and even moreso when people say QPR and Fulham, never have been never will be.

Rivalry isn't about league position. I believe genuine rivalries and hatreds can even survive relegation and league seperation.

If Tottenham or West Ham were in League 2, we would still hate them.

Rivalry exists on two levels, geographical location and also those who are the most dangerous and direct threat to your success..

QPR didn't really bother me until we played them away this season. Now I think they're complete c**ts.

Rivals?? I would go with Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and Millwall like Myles said.

QPR aren't rivals, they're just c**ts.

Arsenal and Liverpool mainly because the fans think they are still massive clubs even though they havent won the league for years.

Team I hate the most? Has to be Tottenham. I'm not sure the word "hate" covers it, it might be deeper than that.

When I even hear the word "spud" or "spur" in other contexts, my blood starts to boil a bit because it just pops them into my mind.

Sad part is, I love me some ham but the two teams I despise the most have "ham" in their names... Tottenham and West Ham.

Rage.

I vote Liverpool for the same reason. Not sure why, but most of my friends who follow the sport are Pool fans. And by "follow the sport" I mean they play FIFA a couple times a year and watch 2 games on ESPN and then claim to know as much as me when I am talking about the EPL at the bar. The United fans I have to deal with at least watch the games and know what they are talking about, and I really don't encounter a lot of Spurs or Arsenal fans over here. I still strongly dislike United, Spurs, Arsenal, etc. but Liverpool tops the list for me.

Trust me. Living in proximity to Spurs fans make them at least 10^15 more hate-able.

Liverpool without a shadow of doubt!

The reason, all the glory hunters when I was growing up, and the fact that their fans go on and on about some devine right to be at the top!

Hate every last one of them!

EDIT: In fact given the choice of knowing we'd never win anything but nor would the bin dipping scum, I'd probably take that!

I voted for West Ham to be different

Hate the way the media laud them as the "Academy of Football" and when they say West Ham "won the World Cup".

Plus I used to hate it when West Ham would raise their game for us and fold against our rivals ala Spurs. They practically cost us the title in 99. :steaming:

Tottenham for me by a country mile.

A really close mate of mine who has been going since the early 70's, (and still a season ticket holder), if offered the choice between seeing us win the CL or Tottenham getting relegated would chose Tottenham going down without a moments hesitation.

He has been a complete bag of nerves over the past few weeks as he is terrified Mourinho is going to end up at sh*te Fart Lane.
